Susan- I loved your story. I found it very interesting. I could really relate to your feeling like you couldn't move at so many points during labor- that is how I felt so often too- during my labor either someone had to move me, or I only did it after really building up to it and then moved very intentionally.

I also wonder about the water...funny how you said the water was warm, almost hot and you loved it. I was in two different baths during labor, and I hated both because they made me too hot. I wonder if I would have enjoyed the water if it was cooler and cooled me off instead. The funny thing is also that during this whole pregnancy I was constantly taking 20-30 minutes showers that would use up all the hot water because that is how much I enjoyed being in HOT water during pregnancy.

I also loved that you were able to tell your neighbor that the baby was born, "this morning". That is awesome.

After having such a great birth, I hope you are still taking it easy- I know I felt really great after my natural birth too- but, when I didn't rest enough I really felt worn out quickly too.

Congrats! What a beautiful story. I love the part too about telling the neighbors he was 'born this morning'!
