Thanks for all of the birthday wishes ladies! I had a nice day and got some great gifts. My favorite is a tea pot with flowering teas (Dave does listen at times), it's so fun and my mom couldn't wait to use it since she started digging it out of the box. The crab legs were also delicious and hit the spot!
I am so happy to have my main fears gone, I also did my fear release cd for the first time yesterday and I hope that takes care of anything else that may be dwelling in my mind. I did jolt out of my hypnosis once during the cd and I'm not sure why, I also bit my tongue, it was odd since it's never happened before.
My appointment on Friday went well, my bp was a bit higher than it's been (still not bad though) but I'm attributing that to a girl collapsing in the waiting room right before I went in. She did the GBS swab and an internal, I'm 1.5 cm, 80% effaced and the baby is at -2. It's pretty much where I was with Brodie at the same time. I stayed up way too late on Friday due to the frosting not cooperating (I had frosting issues with Brodie's cake last year too), luckily the grocery store had some wheat free frosting that worked just fine. The party was a lot of fun and my brother and his family actually made the 2 hour drive to visit, it's been 2 years since my brother had been up to visit me. Brodie had a great time with his buddies and he even fell asleep with the singing balloon he was given. I'll post some pictures once I get them on the computer.
We have discovered a problem with our house, we've known that it has pressure issues because they didn't put in enough return air vents but this "new" issue does not have us happy. My dad was looking at our furnace/hot water heater area and it turns out the morons that built our house hooked the carbon monoxide exhaust up incorrectly so when the furnace is running and the hot water heater is running CO has been blowing into our home. Wonderful! So we're looking into getting an on-demand water heater so we can be rid of the existing system. My dad is also going to work on fixing the pressure issue when we have the baby and he and my mom are up, he can't handle sitting around with nothing to do so it will at least keep him happy. Things just never seem to end.
Dave is feeling better and so far I'm in the clear from the cold, allergies are another issue Brodie was anything but clingy this weekend because my mom was around, I'm chopped liver to him for the first day then he'll cuddle me up again.
Jenn - How are you doing? I think about you regularly and hope the treatments aren't too hard on you. I can't imagine the extra strain with a 2 year old running around. I'm sorry the first picture you've seen of me wasn't such a good one, hopefully I can do a bit better
Kris - The gluten free buns were really good, I was surprised that the texture wasn't the typical heavy yuckiness that they tend to have. Brodie scarfed it down and he usually picks are cinnamon rolls (strange kid).

I forgot to mention this. One of my worries has been having someone to watch Brodie when we go to the hospital. My mom is available and will be called when my birthing time begins but she's also a 3.5 hour drive away. We have day care for Brodie during the week but that doesn't help us at night or on the weekends. I caught my neighbor and asked her if she'd be willing to take Brodie if my mom hasn't arrived yet and/or if it's the middle of the night. She was more than willing and it has taken a huge weight off my shoulders. We also started talking about our previous births and her youngest two births were at home. Her midwife didn't arrive for her youngest until she was crowning so her DH was really hands-on for that birth. I told Dave that if things go too fast and we don't make it to the hospital that we can have either Phil or Becky come over to deliver, I'm not sure he thought it was as humorous as I did.
I had my weekly chiropractor appointment yesterday and I really love that she's pro-NB, she really puts my mind at ease when I'm thinking "outside the box". We are planning to go to my parents this weekend for the 4th, I haven't seen my grandma since Christmas and it's time to get away. Of course I'll be 37 weeks and I'm sure my doctor would tell me I need to stay home but I'm choosing to not mention this to her, is that so bad of me? They don't deliver babies in my home town (unless you show up pushing) and the closest hospital that does deliver is a 45 min drive to Miles City, that's doable if needed. I just don't want to have a baby on I-94. I told Dave last night that he needed to get the infant car seat in the car just in case, he said it's fine to wait until after the baby arrives to do that and I told him if we're in eastern Montana and have the baby we'd have to buy a new car seat. He then looked at me and said, you'd spitefully have the baby there just to say I told you so. What a terd!
I'm feeling great and I am noticing that my belly feels heavier. I don't have day care on Thursday so I'm taking the whole day off and have to drag Brodie to my doctor's appointment. He hates the doctor's office, too much pain associated with it I guess, and I'm a bit apprehensive on how he'll handle being there with me being the one checked out. I plan to read our Hey Baby book with him to prepare him for the appointment and I think I'll have him bring his doctor's bag so he can check me out too. I just hope he's OK with the whole thing and my BP doesn't get too high. Any tips for keeping a 2 year old entertained and happy would be appreciated.
Speaking of 2 year olds, today is Brodie's birthday and since he had the same due date as this LO tomorrow will be furthest along I'll have carried a baby. I made ice cream cone cupcakes for him to have at day care and they really turned out ugly. I put too much batter in each cone and it was just a mess, thank God for frosting & sprinkles to make them a bit more attractive. Brodie was upset that he couldn't have a cupcake yesterday but he stayed content with a spoon dipped in frosting.
My SIL's are staying at our house on Thursday night so I need to get the guest bedroom ready for them and do some clean up around the house, the work never ends does it?
I started packing my hospital bag and have a few things to wash and sterilize so I'm ready for hopefully anything. It's weird getting all of the pumping and SNS parts out, I sure hope I don't need them but it's best to be prepared I guess.
