That is EXACTLY how I feel down there! It honestly feels like someone kneed me in the crotch and left a huge bruise that hurts when I walk or even when I'm sitting sometimes. I wonder if it is pressure from the baby's head. I meant to ask about it at my MW appt. today! I hope you find some relief. If you find something let me know what's working for you!!!

Our hospital had a handy little trick that could possibly help you. Cut a slit in a newborn diaper where the baby would pee/poo and stuff ice in the diaper. This will give you a cold pack and absorb the water as it melts so you don't have a big mess. I'm pretty sore down there in the evenings too and it can be really hard to move around easily, I hope you can find some relief.

Oh wow I'm so sorry you are hurting so badly Kelly. I imagine the cold would feel pretty good. I guess it probably won't go away until Matthew decides to arrive so I guess that is what I will be hoping for you.

What you're feeling def soulds like a head further engaging, and shoving all those pesky pelvic bones. At nearly fully effaced, 3 cm, and a head nearly falling out... well, i'll just say, I'd take that all to be very good news.

YAY for progress Kelly! That's great. I'm sorry you're feeling so much pressure, but that is a good sign. Trevor was so low for so long that I too felt that bruised feeling. I tell you what really helped me...DELIVERY! Hehe. I don't think you have too much longer. Sounds like your body is gearing up and knows exactly what to do! Sorry I haven't called you back yet...I'll try tonight after the boys go to bed! Talk to you soon!

ouch!!! try a bag of frozen peas down there. and that's a LOT of walking!! hope that things happen relatively soon so you're not miserable.

and I think you're right about the decreased movement from running out of room. that's how I feel too.

I'm sorry you're so uncomfortable. I had to lol about what your NP said. My IRL BFF walked around for 2 weeks with her daughter fully engaged and 4 cm dilated. She felt like the baby was going to fall out at any moment. Can you tell what position Matthew is in? Is he facing forward or back? Put your feet up for awhile, that will hopefully draw the blood/fluid out and make you feel less engorged. I'd probably alternate ice and heat to see if that helps. I'm sure it won't be much longer now.

I know. You can imagine my shock and kind of irritation when the doctor called so late last night. First of all, I know I could go like this forever...okay, not forever, but pretty dang close! Second of all, Ohhh....if the phone would have made the girls wake up, she would have been right cause I would have gone into labor from being so dang ticked off!!!

Um, I suppose he is considered mostly posterior cause he is till kicking the same spot on my right side. However, I have noticed more and more that I don't feel the kicking there on the right as often as I used to, but rather my belly button buldges out so I wanna say he has his back to my stomach. I could be wrong though. I'm still new at this.

Have I mentioned the 4th yet to ya'll? I have come to the conclusion that I don't really care if I have Matthew any time soon. More like with Kim, the pressure from everyone ELSE for me to go into labor is a pain. That and the feeling of a bruised pelvic bone ofcourse. But if I AM still pregnant(and I fully expect to be!) on Friday, I am doing a 5k. I am not "racing" in it per say, but rather doing it with my mom. It means a lot to me since it was the very first race I'd ever done before. And it was after that race that I found out about my mom's heart attack. It's amazing to think where we all were a year ago and how our lives have changed in such a short period of time. I was focused on running and nothing more. My girls were just a year, Kevin was ready for his big "V" and my mom was hanging on to life by a thread. How wierd.

I hope you're able to find some relief from all that pain and pressure down below. That sounds really uncomfortable.

It's awesome that you're going to do a 5K! We have one in town here for the 4th too and I'll definitely be over there powerwalking (or power-waddling!) as fast as my legs will go if I'm still preggo. Maybe we'll walk ourselves into labor on the same day!

I can't believe your dr would call you so late at night. Doesn't she know you have the girls at home?

Sounds like you are progressing! You sound like you are doing great, besides the bruised feeling pelvis. I hope that goes away for you!
