is it okay that I'm jealous that you can reach your cervix? I've tried twice now (and I did cervix checks all of the time whole TTC), and I can't reach the darn thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyhow, I missed your rant, but I'm glad you're feeling better and that you have an awesome DH.

Now this does not sound like much, but when he already helps so much and works hard all day AND gives me a break with the baby in the evenings it's just like the sweetest cherry on the cake.
I'm happy you are getting some help from DH that's great!

Gwen, I can *barely* reach my cervix, it tend to stay quite posterior even at the best of times and I am short with a bigger than normal belly, short arms included (my nickname used to be T-rex ). The best way I've found to do it is to elevate my hips with a pillow and rest a body pillow under my arm so I am not straining to reach so much and am kind of doubled up. It's super hard to breathe in that position but the checks go fast. In many cases stickin g one leg up on the toilet seat like you would in the tampon insertion instructions works well too, at least up to the very end.

Taryl, perhaps you should consider a career in the porn flick industry?

Well, seriously, I've had my fingers up there plenty of times and I wouldn't know my cervix from . . . well, from anything!

    LOL, yeah, sign me up!

I'd describe the pregnant, effaced cervix as being a bit like a donut, you can't miss it!

I've often wondered, so many people post "TMI" warnings on their posts and threads - after being on this site for several years is ANYTHING truly TMI? I can see it now: the BN board - we let it ALL hang out, just check out or homebirthing pics

    I love it here

Still contracting somewhat regularly and at noticeable intensities, lots of pressure. It's all good.

Unfortunately I have begun to get a bit of the morning sickness/nausea back, and my appetite is fairly pathetic. My body's buckling down for birth it seems. This could be a LONG month

    I'm enjoying stalking your lodge!

Your DH sounds a lot like mine. I totally feel like a slug, sitting around so much b/c my back hurts (while he's working so hard to get our ensuite bathroom reno finished before our homebirth!)

Yay for pressure waves! It's awesome to hear that your body is starting to do what it needs to do .

Ya'll seriously crack me up! This is SO gonna be TMI, but I've never even um...put my fingers "there" in an intention to feel good. I've only ventured in that area to remove the Nuva ring when we used it as bc for a short period of time. Literally, that's it. We had a condom get lost there before, but I made Kevin go find it. I wouldn't even know where to begin for a cervical check. Gosh, typing that out makes me sound like such a looser.

I hate to say this, butI'm glad you are getting more and more pressure waves and the m/s is coming back. All promising signs. Now let's just get this baby on it's way so the doctors will leave you the heck alone!

Sorry you felt you needed to delete your rant. Even though I didn't see it, I too always enjoy what yoou have to say and find it very insightful and educated...even if everyone doesn't always agree, you can't be denied that! Besides, it's YOUR lodge, say whatever the hell you want to! As long as it wasn't "Man, I hate that Kelly girl."

WOW Taryl, Ive been gone for about 5 days and things have really changed for you!!! Im hoping that things keep on progressing!!

BTW, I really like the name Jonah!! I usually dont put much stock in dreams but after we lost the first baby my dh and I both had dreams the same night that the baby was a boy, and I had a strong feeling the baby was a boy when I was preg, so we named him Bennett, it means "blessed little one" So, I feel like God used both of our dreams to communicate that with us, and it could very well be the same with you!!

Keeping you in my prayers!! Im so excited to "meet" your LO!!!

Hope you are having a good day!!
