Oh Taryl, I can hear the pain in your post. I wish I could come up there and give you a hug in person and sit with you through these contractions and get you a drink or rub your back. I remember thinking that same way when I was pregnant with Tiven, how if her birth didn't happen that day, I was going to be turned over to the hospital, the place I was really hoping to avoid. As it turned out, she needed to be born at the hospital, and I'm so glad that I listened to her and my body when they said it was time to go. I know that you are listening to your baby and your body, and if they tell you that surgery is what they need, I know you'll do it, but I sure hope they tell you that they want that VBAC! I hope you find some peace soon. ITA with PeppyPreggo that you might want to print out that post and share it with your doctor. It sounds like he might be the kind of guy to be open to hearing it, kwim?
70% of the U.S. population now lives in a state where same-sex marriage is legal. At 36 and counting!
Another night of hard contractions. These have gotten more intense and closer together, earlier in the day they were maybe 10-15 minutes apart and now I'd guess they're 5 minutes apart at most. STILL not holding my breath, but they're pretty shockingly strong and my husband even noticed they were coming more frequently. It would be *nice* if I didn't make it to my appointment tomorrow, we'll see.
I wouldn't break out the streamers and cake just yet, though! I don't know what I will do during transition, these are right on the edge of my ability to handle calmly and peacefully. Though admittedly, I am not listening to my Hypnobabies during these because I'd have headphones on all day. Maybe concentrating and staying in hypnosis the whole time will help out a lot. We'll see, one way or the other.
oh, I hope this is it for you!! Sending tons of ELVs!!!
My gosh Taryl, you are a strong woman. Hang in there hun!
Hang in there, you're doing great!
When they get beyond you, consider going on all fours and roaring like a lion. That can help.
I'm crossing my fingers for you!
I'm thinking of you Taryl Big hugs. Stay strong. Wishing you a wonderful effective labor pattern that leaves you absolutely no doubt that "this is it!".
wishing you ELV!
I have tried this...and it does seem to help! Wishing you ELV!When they get beyond you, consider going on all fours and roaring like a lion. That can help.
