Yeah, absolutely! I still miss her, she was SUCH a great midwife and I feel badly for not keeping in contact better. I'm bad that way

Anyway, I loved reading your introduction, I remember Callies birth so vividly as it was just a few weeks after my sons unplanned CS, and I am pulling for you this go round. P&PT coming your way for your VBAC.

    Any gut feeling on gender?
That's just it, with Callie I *knew* she was a girl, but I talked myself into thinking she was a boy because I knew DH and all the grandparents would want a grandson after granddaughters from other siblings, but I definitely has a feeling from around 10 weeks on.

With this one, I waffle back and forth daily. Some days I feel pretty strongly the baby is a boy, other days it just seems more likely the baby is a girl (since we've proven we can produce those ). I've sat down and contemplated it more often than I'd care to admit considering how little I even THINK about this pregnancy, running around with a naughty 15 month old, but I always come up with nothing definitive. And anyone who knows me knows that I don't do 'indistinct' positions all that often!

I am HOPING for a boy, just so DH doesn't start freaking out thinking we're going to have 6 girls (though he'd love them all dearly, he wants a son to show the manly ropes of life ) but I am leaning towards a girl. I'll be pleasantly surprised either way, that's for sure!

As for names, I do have those picked out but I am reserved on them as well - when I meet the baby I'll figure out what fits, until then I love my choices but they don't feel 'real' without someone to attach them to. We'll see!

Hey Taryl! Here from march 07 wishing you the best of luck and a speedy, beautiful VBAC!!!!

The depression over everyone being induced and already having thier babies in thier arms is the primary reason I am straddling two boards right now. And pretty sure that even with a Jan 29 due date I will end up on Feb. It was far to depressing and frustrating and I think what lead to me giving up and getting induced (although I was overdue...I really think Noah would have come out on his own if I had just waited a couple more days).

Our postpartum was VERY VERY similiar in sooooo many respects. I mean I could have written the post partum half of your post. So I'm definitly going to watch you and learn from you this time around.

    Best of luck!
Hey Heather! I remember how badly you struggled with Noah, it's the worst feeling in the world, isn't it? And he was actually a challenging, touchy baby - Callie was a little angel, which just made me feel WORSE for being such a bad mom!

As for board straddling, if I am honest the smartest thing I could have done was go to April in terms of due dates and stress, as I was toward the end of March. But I never felt at home there, I really preferred the ladies on our board and just enjoyed posting there a whole lot more. Go with your gut on the issue, but if there is one group of gals you just latch onto that should be your board.

Truth be told, I feel like I belong with SOME of the mommies in July (like, 3/4s of those are on this board!) but March 07 will always be my birth board, you know? It's like home base! I find now that I have BTDT I need some developed support for a few issues, like this VBAC, but I have little need of most of the normal functions of a birth board. Half the time I just dropped into July to encourage and give advice, but especially with such a young baby it was like a complete redux of information and not as helpful to me this time around, since I'd just experienced it less than a year earlier!

But just as I DIDN'T get so much into July, I got MORE into the specialized boards, like this one. There's a place for everyone on this site, there really is. It's just finding what you need and a few great friends to share it with

We'll see how it goes, but DH and I both want a large family and feel pretty strongly about chemical birth control for both health and religious reasons. After this one he's requested I at least not actively attempt to get pregnant for a year, just so we can finish things up around the house and reorder some of our finances, but I've known I wanted to be a large family mama my whole life - it was just kind of assumed!

I don't know though, that's if we are blessed with all singletons. I'd probably bawl for a month if I was having twins - all of you twin mommies AMAZE me and I am not sure I'd be able to rise to the challenge as well as many of you have! But I couldn't IMAGINE just having two or three children, and being done before 25. It'd probably break my heart (and my ovaries, they'd punching me every time I pass a cute kid!)

I totally understand. We have a special bunch of ladies on March and I see that always being my birth board as well. The good thing about both january and feb is that oddly enough most of the mom's are also BTDT (as opposed to march 07 which was like 90% new mom's...which is probably why we all bonded so well) so there's a LOT of knowledge on both. At the end of the day though, if I truly needed support I know March 07 would bend over backwards and like you, it will always be my TRUE birth board!

    Anyways, I'll be stalking!

Yay for large families I got mine through remarriage, but six kids is plenty for us and we got 3 of each. Can't be that!

I loved reading your intro. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I truly hope that you have the beautiful VBAC that you want! I too have slacked with the Hypnobabies. Everyday practice is such a HUGE commitment and although I'm 100% on board with it finding the time is still hard to do sometimes. I'm working on it though!

I too have had to bite my tongue numerous times especially recently with our BB. I think I too will probably have to stay away for a while because of all of the induction talk and negativity. I'm glad we have such a wonderful supportive positive group of women here on this board who understand how we feel.

Welcome to your lodge! Thanks for posting such a great intro (((HUGS))). You certainly have had a rollercoaster ride these last couple of years.

I can't wait to hear about your wonderful, peaceful VBAC! Oh, and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's been slacking with the Hypnobabies . Oh, how I wish I'd found that course with my first baby!
