So I have a list started for my birth bag. I don't plan on packing it until I go into labor. We live very close to the birthing center and I hope to labor at home as long as possible. I'm curious in your experience what types of things BTDT momma's suggest for down there for after the birth? What kind of pads and how many should I get? What types of things for any pain/tearing afterwards? I've heard of frozen pads soaked in witch hazel. Any other *must* haves?
My hospital gives the frozen pads there ... I just pack clothes to go home in, pajamas (of course, now that it's summer I'm living in t-shirts and boxers at night), a boppy for nursing in the hospital, and Depends. I don't want to wear the disposable panties they give you, I'd rather bein the Depends the first few days.

What a wonderful love story Alicia We got our BFP on the same day! I called my DH too. I just couldn't wait. I wish I had some advice on the bag thing but I'm in the same boat as you. I had saved a thread where Emily listed stuff to pack that seemed pretty comprehensive so I have been sort of following that. I'm so glad you found the birth center and look forward to hearing about your wonderful birth.
You look beautiful and congrats on being in the home stretch!
Gwen, really? Depends??? I guess I got lucky with the girls cause I don't remember bleeding all that much. The thought of bleeding that much more this time around is kind of scary.
