What a stash!!! It's really hot here too! My brother had a pool party at his house today and we only stayed for about an hour it was just too unbearable to stand the heat and humidity!!! I was dripping sweat within minutes! I know what you mean about trying to decipher every little thing that goes on with your body! I STILL check the TP everytime! Hope you had fun at your party!!!
Warning, some TMI below, read at your own risk
We did end up doing a family walk after dinner yesterday, and a longer one than usual. But it didn't result in anything going on. And for the total TMI, I've been in the bathroom between last night and today with diarrhea. I just have flashbacks to having that before having Andrew. But I think I was actually in labor before that happened, so I can't really correlate it. It's just nice to know my bowels are empty, it would be a good time for a baby without fear of pooping all over the table. At the same time, I'm hoping that this morning is the end of it, because it's not my favorite way to go to the bathroom. Wonder if it was something I ate at my daughter's party.
But I don't think I'm having him any time soon, I just don't feel it. Yet, I've gotten the guest room ready for my parents (it was a mess, since it tends to be a catch all room sometimes) and really am antsy to pack the hospital bag (which I will probably do today).
The runs isn't a bad sign, here's to hoping!
Well, no changes here at all. Went for another walk after dinner, but still kept a decent pace (still on the slow side, but no contractions stopped me). So I don't think there's any changes on the immediate horizon. I wish I had been more meticulous in writing down all of my "symptoms" on a timeline in past pregnancies, just for comparison sake. But I only kept a journal with the 3rd, and that got lost in a computer rebuild about 3 days before she was born. Ugh.
I do have colostrum now when I squeeze the boobs, which I don't remember from before. I mean, I'm sure I had that by 38 weeks in the past too. But I know I didn't have it a couple of weeks ago. The ole boobs are a bit more sensitive lately too.
I'm really sleepy, but I don't want to go to bed. I think I might put on a LOTR movie (I think the last time I watched one of those was during my false labor with Natalie ). I'll pass out just watching it, but at least I'll be watching something I love. Sure wish we had a tv in our room!
Sounds like you're doing really well. I'm jealous that you can still walk at a descent pace. I have become a turtle (that waddles)
So did you pack your hospital bag? Hope you enjoyed the movie!
I'm totally jealous of "family walks" Kevin's back is so dang bad that he'd NEVER agree to walking with me. Isn't that sad?!?! Oh well. I'll live thru you Gwen and then when my mom gets here, I'll make her join me.
I haven't packed my bag yet, it's on my list for today. I did pack the toiletries and I have a sort of working list for everything else.
But now I have a new challenge ... my aunt died this morning. She was sick (sufferering from ALS and was admitted to the hospital for pneumonia on Saturday). I live in Virginia, she lived in Illinois. So my parents are going out there on Wednesday, and I don't know how long they're staying. They were going to watch my kids when I go into labor. So I'm working on a backup plan for the care of my kids while I have the baby. What a challenge!!!! So, if you could say a prayer for my mom's family (I wasn't close to my aunt, but I know this is terribly hard on my mom), and keep your fingers crossed on finding the right backup plan should I go into labor while they're gone, I'd really appreciate it.
It's almost 9, I haven't had breakfast yet, so I should go do that ...
Oh gosh Gwen. My condolences to your family.
