Ew. I think I would have been disappointed with that bit of news. I know things can change in an instant, and having had a vaginal birth previously helps your situation out. But still.

The good news is that what he couldn't perform couldn't cause you pain.

Enjoy your NST. I actually looked forward to mine since it was a chance to completely zone out and relax.

oddly enough I was more disappointed for some reason at my first internal check at 37 weeks, but yesterday it was no big deal.

I just made an appt to see an acupuncturist after my NST.

    Nothing new...

I did have eggplant parmesian for lunch today! Maybe it will work for me like it did for Harmony! I don't know that the restaurant has a reputation for that though.

Hope the eggplant works as well for you as it did with Harmony

doubts are starting to creep in now. I've been listening to my hypnobabies birth affirmation CDs nonstop to keep myself in the right frame of mine, but I'm starting to get anxious and concerned that my body won't be able to do this without help. When I was induced with Mary, my contractions would all but disappear when they turned off the pitocin.

Baby is still very active so I'm sure we'll pass the NST with no question. I'm anxious to have this happen before I have to deal with any pressure from my OB. I also am not terribly comfortable going another week. I remember Mary being so dry and her wrists and ankles were cracked from it, she was born with no vernex. Although I've been trying to keep in mind that I was not as on top of drinking so much water as I am now, so I'm hoping that's the difference.

I need a little positive feedback that I can do this and that I have nothing to worry about.

You CAN do this! I know it doesn't help to hear, but you know that you won't be pregnant forever, and odds are you won't even be pregnant in a week! I know the days just drag by and you begin to wonder if your body even understands what it's supposed to do about that baby growing in there. You're doing so good and keeping such a great attitude.

I went into labor with dd at 41 w 6 d and had her at 42 weeks to the day. She was also wrinkly and peeling and cracked. But every day from 38 weeks on I thought would be the day, and I can remember the torture of having to wait it out.

Molly, if anyone understands the ticking clock, it would me. And look what happened. Nothing to full-on labor in the space of a couple of hours.

IIRC, didn't you also mention that there were some questions about dates with Mary, so you were actually later than everybody thought? Is it safe to assume that's not the case this time? Just trying to find the silver lining.

I was never big on it, but have you considered EPO, RRL tea, or some other natural inductive efforts. I know they won't start anything that wasn't ready to happen, but they might help "ready" move along. Who knows?

    Keep thinking positive thoughts.

And keep DH busy. That can't hurt either.

    I've done the following:

RRL tea everyday for the last month (both tea and oral supplement)
    DTD nearly every other day
Had super spicy thai food 4 times in the last week

I have not tried EPO and I feel I probably won't as nothing else seems to have any effect. I'm hoping the accupunture appt today helps, but they say that can take up to 3 or 4 visits so I'm not holding my breath.
