Thinking of you today! With every minute your body is getting closer, whether it feels like it or not. WTG for speaking up about the induction they tried to schedule under your nose. I had to do the same thing--they seem to conveniently forget that we might have a say about the matter!

Boy do I know where you're at! I had Contraction Master up for weeks at the end but since I wasn't really having much, I'd always forget to start or stop them, so I was having really loooooong ctx or very widely spaced.

Nope. I'm doing just fine, don't let that even enter your mind. You wouldn't believe all the stuff I've been able to get out of because I'm on call

Did you want to get together for anything while you are in town tomorrow? (assuming I'm not at your side doing the doula thing at the hospy, that is )

If I'm able to have a sweep tomorrow, I would like to get home and have Ella settled in case it gets things moving. So hopefully we'll be able to meet when I come back in labour.

Rob, Ella and I went for a walk this evening, which included going up a good sized hill. I get tightenings when I have gravity working with me, so I've tried to stay on the move today, hoping for a little progress.

Just thinking ahead for Monday in case I actually make it to the induction appointment... in my situation, would you rather start pitocin from the get-go, or have your membranes ruptured to try to get things going? (keeping in mind that a medical induction ever-so-slightly increases the risk of scar separation during a vbac along with the rest of its drawbacks, and AROM sometimes doesn't start labour and puts you on "the clock"... ETA: plus AROM can make it harder for baby to position correctly)

I would *not* consent to AROM, esp since babe is posterior (or is this no longer the case?).

Keep moving mama! You have some great labor signs there w/ the spotting and "tightening"!

Yes, I believe baby is still posterior.

Is there any reason why you couldn't start witha couple of doses of cervadil before they break out the 'big guns'? A slow induction with the gel might do the trick to kick start you and then you might not need anything else... it also buys you a little time for your body to cooperate.

I guess I assume that if I'm dilated a little and effaced, they won't bother with the cervadil at all. I'll find out where I stand on the dilation front today. Perhaps cervadil will still be an option, I'm just not sure if they'll go for it.

Can I just say I'm so excited to be using my tiny-baby cloth diaper stash soon? I didn't use cloth with Ella as a newborn, and these teensy diapers are so darn cute. I mean... we've tried them out on Ella's baby dolls, but it's just not the same.

Well, off to wake DH, grab a shower and soon we'll be hitting the road for my appointment. I'm guessing we'll be home around suppertime! I'll keep you posted when I get back.
