*~* Jillian & Jocelyn's Birth Story *~*

DH & I went in for our last U/S on Tuesday November 2nd. Everything looked great - the girls were growing & were both still head down! After we were finished and were in the waiting area waiting for the tech to bring us our picture CD (which we always can't wait to look at again & again). She came out and sat down in the chair across from us - which I thought kinda strange since she never did that before) - we have requested to have her as our tech the entire pregnancy, she is such a wonderful woman. Anyway, she started talking about how my fluid was low - which I honestly didn't really understand at first. She said it's supposed to be at a level 10 and mine was at a level 7. She suggested to call our doctor and we both agreed, so she went in the back to make the call.... about 5 minutes later (ours doc are amazing and return calls very quickly), our doc calls back and asks us if we have our bag in the car (it was at home still)... she said to go get it & come to the hospital. She really didn't say on the phone if she was going to induce or not, but DH & I were thinking yes. So, we raced home, called basically everyone we know, and told our moms to meet us at the hospitaal. We stopped home, did a few quick things, and grabbed our bag & left for the hospital. epidural

When we finally got to L&D, the doc talked to us for a few & explained what would happen. She started the induction process around 8:30 PM that Tuesday night (Nov 2)..... at some point (I can't recall times) she gave me some Stadol for pain relief. It made me really sleepy and I fell asleep. I woke up about 2 hours later and at some point (once again, can't recall times) I said I was ready for the epidural ---- I made it to a 5.5. The doctor said it was the perfect timing for it. (My MIL says I'm her hero because she couldn't make it pasta 4!)

Once I reached a dilation of 10, the doc and nurse came in and helped me to "Labor Down". It was so starnge beause nothing really "hurt" just a strong pressure. Once the baby's head was in good position, they wheeled my bed into the OR (they said twin births always take place in the OR in case something bad happens, I would already be in place to open me up.

Time seemed to fly from this point. DH started up by my head, holding it up during contractions... the doctor asked him if he wanted to watch delievery and of course he said yes. So he moved to the side and helped hold up my left leg when I pushed. There were student nurses there watching and one volunteered to take pics w our camera... I am SOOOO happy she did!! they are amazing pictures!!

Once again, nothing really "hurt" just INTENSE pressure of the baby's head. It was a hard thing to do, but I pushed Baby A out at 7:21 AM Nov 3rd..... no complications Smile Because of the stress on Baby B, I was given a little Oxygen. Baby B's heart rate started to drop a little so the doctor said she would have to vaccuum her out to help her out.... which I was so worried about. It worked well through and Baby B came at 7:32 AM!!! The only side effect of the vaccuum was a little black & blue mark on the top of her ehad.... which was gone about 4 days later.

We stayed @ the hospital for 2 days. I asked to go home the 1st day (I felt great!!!) but we decided to stay so the girls could be monitored. We were afraid Baby B had a slight case of jaundice..... which cleared up fast! (with no treatment)
The doctor said I was the best "pusher" they had ever seen and all my family members couldn't believe I was smiling and up walking around ready to go home. I will admit the day after the girls were born my stiches hurt bad (I didn't rip that much but the few I got hurt after I had been sitting for a while).

Now the girls are home and they are AMAZING!!!! They are such good girls!! They actually slep thru the night last night (DH and I found a routine their prediatricial told us about --- wake them every 2 hours during the day) It worked for last night so we are trying it again today! I am SO in love with them. They had their 1st doc appt yesterday. They are healthy and so beautiful!!!!!!

We started our aventure 5:30 tuesday morning. My mom came into town early to stay with the older boys and get ben off to school. I was feeling super calm and just ready. Hospital is only a few miles away so the ride was quick. We got right in and got the big corner room (woohoo). The nurses were with me right away getting my iv all set up and taking blood. They said we were the first case and that he would be born between 8 and 8:30. Thats when it all set in knowing he would be here in just over an hour.

All the docs came in to say hello and ask any final questions. Then off we went. The spinal went a little rough b/c i had back surgery in 2007 the anesthelogist could not get the spinal in. I was so uncomfortable leaning over that table, it took him a few tries ( my back is all bruised from all his attempts) but finally I could feel it in my legs and knew that he had finally succeeded. He was worried about my previous problems with nausea and surgery he only gave me the lowest dose of morphine.

The docs came in and got started so fast that they had forgot to get DH so someone ran out to get him and he got there just in time. 2 second later they were pulling out Hayden's head. He was born at 8:17 am weighing 8lbs 6oz and 20 inches long. My reaction to his weight was "holy ****" I know not the most lady like but no one ever thought he would be that big. He was screaming while still half in my belly. I of course was balling also. Then the pain started. He had to go through a lot scar tissue and putting everything back together was a little harder this time around. and then I got sick and started to throw up while still on the table. As he was trying to put me all together. All during this I am screaming at the docs, telling them to stop and that they were hurting me and to let me off the table. Obviously I was losing it a little bit. Finally they got me put all back together and stopped the nausea and off to recovery I went.

I was able to nurse Hayden right way in recovery which is what I wanted and he latched on pretty awesome for the first time. The first day and night went great then day 2 came. I expirienced the worse gas pains ever. They say I was having such a hard time b/c i got sick while on the table. They gave me everything they could to get things going. I was in tears in pain.

Finally on day 3 we went home. I am still having a hard recovery, the hardest one for sure. I am still having a hard time passing gas and I am very swollen. But looking at him makes it all worth it.

After 4 months on bed rest and and some seriously obnoxious/unpleasant pregnancy issues, God apparently thought he'd pay me back. My induction took 5 hours from start to finish and I felt NOTHING (except some shaking from the epidural). And Jacob came out in 2 pushes. Biggrin 6lbs, 14oz, 19" long (at 38 weeks, 1 day).

Got a call at 4:30 a.m. telling us to be there by 6 a.m. to get started. Of course once we got there, did paperwork, answered questions, etc., it was about 7:45 before the Pitocin was started. They immediately gave me an epidural and, other than pressure, I felt nothing (did have to get an extra bolus of epidural meds 30 minutes in cause I still had cramps but once that was in, nada). At about 11:50a they checked me and said I was 5cm and 80% effaced. Nurse said she was going to get lunch and brought in a covering nurse. I sent hubby and SIL to get lunch also. They turned me on my right side to see if it would help that side efface more. Fairly soon, I started feeling consistent pressure and wondered out loud if my contractions were getting closer. At 12:10p, the nurse checked me and announced, "Oh boy, you are ready! You'd better call your husband and tell him to get back up here - quick!" I had gone from 5-10 in 20 minutes.

Again, feeling nothing, updated Facebook (LOL) in order to do something to resist pushing while nurse called OB, techs, etc., and we waited for DH to run back up from cafeteria (his face was priceless!). DH came in right on the heels of my OB and the medical team. OB said "let's go". One push and his head popped out forcefully. OB asked if she could do a small episiotomy and I said no problem. She did that, I pushed one more time and the rest of his body came out. Incredible!!! Even the placenta came out almost immediately with pretty much no problems. I seem to remember it taking longer with DS1.

Jacob is feeding like a champ and sleeping really well. Here are some pics of my beautiful boy.

Corinne Lillian's birth story

On November 8, 2010 DH and I arrived at the hospital for my induction at 6:45 AM. The nurse double checked my information and set up my IV. Sometime after 7 AM she started the pitocin drip. At about 7:30 I started to feel the effects of the pitocin, but nothing uncomfortable. At about 9 AM my doctor came in and checked me. Externily I was a 3 and internally I was a 1.5. We were having a hard time monitoring Corinne's HR so the doctor attempted to put something on Corinne's head. She wasn't able to get it in the right position.

For the next couple of hours we just hang out and play on our phones or read. My contractions start getting closer and a tad bit more intense. Sometime in the early afternoon the doctor comes back and checks me again. I can't remember how far along I am at this point but she is able to attach the monitor to Corrine's head.

After the doctor leaves, my contractions start becoming more intense and closer. After an hour or so of these contractions I ask for the epidural. It took 20-30 minutes for the man to come to my room. Putting the epidural in hurt pretty bad. The pain went down to my right foot. Sometime between seeing the doctor and getting my epidural, my water breaks. At first it was a couple of trickles here and there. Then, maybe 5 minutes before the anesthesiologist came, I got up to go to the bathroom and it gushed.

About 3 or 3:30 or so I slowely started to feel pressure in my vagina but nothing in my bottom. At 3:45 or so I started to feel pressure in my bottom and the nurse called the doctor. The doctor was seeing her last patient of the day and would come up right after that. At about 4:10 the nurse had me push 2 or 3 times before the doctor finally arrived. After about 17 minutes or so of pushing, Corinne Lillian was born

It all started Saturday night, DH and I went to the see the movie Due Date with his sister and husband. When we returned home we decided to DTD and sit on my ball for awhile. Well around 11:30pm the painful, timeable contractions started. I took a bath, a hot shower, walked around still there. Tried to lay down to get some sleep and they got WORSE!

Woke DH up around 2:00am and we walked around the house for awhile timing contractions and trying to decide what to do. Well after laying down for the 3rd or 4th time and not being able to rest and having the contractions get worse we decided to pack DS up and go to the hospital. Before we dropped DS off at my parents house I made DH drive around to make sure the contractions would stop and they didn't.

We got to L&D at 6:00am got right into the triage room and were check, I was 90% effaced and 3-4cm dilated and contractions showed up on the monitor. As soon as she checked me she said we were having a baby today and was going to get a room for us! I was stumped, figured they would have made me walk the halls for an hour and recheck...nope.

We hung out for a few hours, walked the halls and the nurse checked me again and I hadn't really changed, that was frustrating and then she said "Well, do you live close, we might send you home" and I said NO! I was not going home. She suggested getting in the tub and see what happened. The tub relaxed me more and slowed the contractions done but when the midwife came to check me I made it to 6cm and she pulled her glove out it was covered with mucous and blood so there was no going home then. Walked the halls some more, was checked a few hours later still a 6 so she broke my water around 5:00pm after being there for almost 12 hours!!

Started walking the halls some more and the contractions really started to hurt!! So back in the tub I went. And oh holy heck the back labor really started. I remember just laying in the tub yelling to get her off my back!! Then I finally couldn't bear it anymore and was about to have them put an IV in me and give me some pain meds! I stood up from the tub and grabbed onto DH and bite/clawed him and he looked down and say blood running down my legs and he said "She is coming!!" and I was saying "no she is not!!" and walked back to the bed and suddenly HAD to push! DH called the nurse and before she got in I was in the bed pushing! She grabbed her phone and called the midwife and another nurse screaming room 667 NOW! Into her phone as she held Annas head in. Then the midwife got there and they told me to look down and I yelled "What is there to look at??" thinking they wanted me to feel her head crowning like they did with DS. Well, I looked down just as they were placing her on my chest!! She was out, in a matter of a couple minutes and a couple of pushes! She was born at 10:59pm - 23 1/2 hours after labor started.

This time around I got a 1st degree tear with only one suture that made me so happy she said I had some "road rash" as well. I was looking back at our nursing log and she was on the breast nursing less then 20 minutes after being born, I thought that was so beautiful!!

Here are a couple pictures enjoy!!

~*~ Birth Story for Brooke Malin S. ~*~

Contractions started around 12:42am on Wednesday, November 17th when I was at home in bed. They were basically Braxton hicks (or so they felt) and would range from 9 minutes to 12 minutes apart (about 45 seconds long) and went on and off until around 2am. After 2am and until almost 3:30am I only had 4 contractions. The real “fun” started at 6:49am when they basically were still about 10 minutes apart, lasting for 45 seconds but soon I noticed they began to really make me need to use my relaxation techniques. Before then I was still using them, I was even listening to the HypnoBabies tracks to help fall asleep. When it got closer to 7:30am I noticed they jumped to being 7 minutes apart then from then on out they would range from 4-7 minutes apart (lasting the 45 seconds -- or so, I actually quick timing them, just recording when I felt the contraction come on). At 8:00am I called my midwife and she had a car full of boys so she had the other midwife call me. I then called my doula just to give her a heads up since the day before my last update to her was that I was 5 cms dilated. The other midwife asked how I was feeling and I told her that I felt like if they came up that I wouldn’t really be in labor and they would have made the 45 minute - 1 hour drive for nothing. She said to go make a nice breakfast (with tons of protein), eat, then go lay back down and relax. I got off the phone and did just that, except I ate a piece of toast, maybe a couple bites of my eggs, and finished my Instant Breakfast (since those are so yummy!). I had a very hard time sitting down to eat and I wasn’t very hungry. I had a lot of pressure and it was just plain uncomfortable (I felt like I had to go to the bathroom). All that time from waking up I was most comfortable leaning on my birth ball and/or on all fours rocking side to side and front and back (while having my “Easy First Stage” track on -- but in all honesty, I didn’t hear one word she was saying to me).

So I ended up putting my breakfast in the kitchen and gave up and went to lay down in bed. All it took was once contraction when I realized that there was no way I was going to be able to lay down, I basically cried mid-contraction and went out to the living room. Adam and Callie were still sleeping at this point. I had another contraction when I was laying on the couch and I cried through that one and after that I called my one midwife back (this was around 9am) and she said that she felt like she needed to be with me so she was going to call the other midwife and head up. I texted my doula to let her know too and she was already on her way. I woke up Adam and told him they were all on their way up so I needed him to move the coffee table out of the living room so I could vacuum and we could put the blow up mattress there. After I woke up Adam I called his work to let his mom know that things were happening and she should probably come on up even though Callie was still asleep.

In the hour it took for my one midwife to come I had many contractions that were VERY short, like 30 seconds or less short and I wasn’t keeping track of those times. By that point I figured why bother and I even took down the clock from the wall because the ticking sound was getting annoying. Callie ended up waking up so Adam got her all dressed and ready and soon enough Adam’s mom arrived. Around 10am my one midwife arrived and started to set all her stuff up, I blew up the air mattress and Adam got started with blowing up the birth tub. After they were all set up my midwife wanted to check me so we went into my room and just as she started my doula showed up right by my head (total surprise since I hadn’t heard her come in). I was checked and my midwife asked if I was ready, the day before she had the same type of tone so I honestly had no clue what to expect. I was thinking maybe I’d be at a 6 or 7 but nope, she said I was at 9 cms and she was able to stretch me to a full 10 cms! My bag was still bulging and that was the only thing left keeping Brooke from coming. I really wanted to use the birth pool, having a water birth was what I had envisioned but Brooke had completely other plans. Not only could we not find the faucet adapter but there was no way we would have been able to fill up the pool in time. We decided to go with Plan B and set up the bedroom for the delivery.

At 10:33am my midwife broke my water and basically I started the pushing from there. Brooke was born at 10:47am and the placenta was delivered about 5 minutes after. The last photo I have from home is taken at 10:54am and was when my midwives were trying to control my bleeding with massage (and I had to use nipple stimulation as well). And I was being told to drink, drink, drink! My doula was giving me water and juice to try to help. I got a shot of pit and even meth and neither worked so my midwife had DH call 911 and the EMTs were there very shortly after (we live 2 mins away from the hospital and less than a minute from the fire station). Before the EMTs got there my midwife tried to get an iv line in me but my veins weren’t helpful so when they showed up she backed off and they were able to get one, after trying pretty hard.

Basically after the EMTs got my IV line and started on some fluids I was given the option to lay on this thing (not sure what it is right now) and they could carry me to the gurney (since it couldn’t fit down the hallway into my room) or I could try to walk (with help of course). I tried to sit up (with help) and got light headed so they had to carry me. This was where it got difficult for Callie (the most traumatic portion for her I think). I was all strapped on (with a blanket of mine on me since I was freezing) and I could hear Callie ask where I was going. Later on at the hospital she had told me “we lost you.” It just broke my heart but I was conscience the whole time so I do remember telling her something along the lines of me being okay.

Once we got to the hospital that was a whole other story that I really don’t want to get into. We did get home a little after 2pm on Thursday (Nov 18th) and things have been going very smoothly. Brooke is doing awesome! She’s a great sleeper and nurser. She only cries when she’s being changed or if she’s super hungry/dirty diaper -- otherwise she’s a happy baby (just like her big sister was). I didn’t have any tearing (just some skid marks) and my bleeding is already almost gone; which is I guess to be expected since I already lost a bunch. I guess I lost 3 times the amount someone “normally” would. I’m on orders to consume a bunch of iron to get my levels back up so Adam will be getting a nice list of what I need and going shopping for it all tonight.

Given how everything turned out I am very happy and grateful for my wonderful birthing team. Even though we had our Plan B I think had we gone with Plan A things would have gone much worse, who knows what would have happened to me. At my home visit today my midwife was even saying it was a good thing my bag of waters was so strong and didn’t break on it’s own otherwise we probably would have had all this go down unassisted and then who knows how much blood I would have really lost. Having a fully natural child birth was definitely something to experience and I feel SO MUCH BETTER this time around postpartum than I did with my labor/delivery with Callie. If I had to do it all over again I would still choose the route I did, and I think that having the short labor was a BIG factor in it. I have such a feeling of accomplishment that beats out anything else I’ve done in the past and besides the postpartum hemorrhaging my birthing experience was amazing.

Birth Story
Luke Richard

He’s here and he’s beautiful!
On Wed. Nov. 10th, I experienced contractions from 3pm-11pm. They were consistent, but not getting stronger or closer together. I went to sleep that night but had my mom come over just in case to watch DD. They stopped during the night. The next morning I felt just fine.
Later on Thurs., about 10pm, my contractions picked up again. I figured they were just like the day prior and went to sleep around midnight. However, I woke up around 2am, Friday Nov. 12th, realizing that they still were going on and they hurt pretty badly. I called my mom to come watch DD around 2:30am and then hopped in a hot shower for some relief on my lower back. I woke up DH to pack our bags into the car and get ready. They were pretty intense at this point, but still manageable. As soon as my mom arrived at our house, we left for the hospital.
We arrived at the hospital around 3-3:30am (can’t remember exactly). As soon as we got there the triage nurse checked me and said I was already at 8cm! I was so excited because last time I went from 7cm-10cm in about 20 min. However, I was not as lucky this time. They got me right in and on my antibiotics since I was Strep B positive. The contractions were hurting pretty bad at this point. I had DH put on my relaxing music and get me some ice chips. At each contraction, he massaged my lower back, and put a cold wash cloth on my forehead, which helped out SO much! Turns out, I was having back labor because Luke was face up. I don’t wish that upon anybody! Sooo painful!
Around 7am I thought I couldn’t take it any longer, I was in so much pain and still only at a 9! I even told DH that I would be o.k. with an epidural or c-section. I couldn’t do this any longer. I was so tired and in such pain! Thank God, I was able to start pushing around 7:15-7:20am and only pushed about 4-5 times, my water burst, and Luke was out!! He was born at 7:35am, Friday Nov. 12th, 2010. I was so thankful to be done and have him in my arms. God has blessed us with a perfect little baby!
Nurse weighed him about an hour after his birth. After I got to hold him and nurse him some (which he is a great nurser!). His stats: 8 lbs. 13oz., 19 ½ inches long, 36.5cm head circumference

Leah's Birth Story

On Thursday November 25th I had my 40 week check up. At the time I was 4cm dilated and 50% effaced. I had my membranes swept for a 2nd time while I was there. My OB was confident that it would be anytime that labour would start. Throughout the rest of the day and the next I was having some cramping and irregular contractions. The contractions were very irregular and not too uncomfortable. Sometime in the late morning on Friday November 26th I noticed that I started to lose pieces of my mucus plug. I informed my husband that I thought we would be having a baby that day. We decided we would go out for a late lunch, early dinner with DS. While out I noticed that my contractions had started getting closer together, but would still stop and restart randomly. A couple of hours later we went and rented a movie and got some treats at the Bulk Barn. At this time it was about 8pm in the evening and I noticed my contractions were becoming more uncomfortable and about 10mins apart. We spent some time in bed with DS and then tucked him in for the night at 9pm. We then went downstairs to watch our movie and at that time I noticed that my contractions were about 5mins apart and really starting to hurt. We made it through the previews of our movie and then I told DH we better start getting our stuff together and call the babysitter because my contractions were really picking up in intensity each time and were less than 5mins apart then. I jumped in the shower, packed the last things into my bag, and we got DS up to take to the babysitter’s. We dropped him off and headed into L&D. It seemed like things were really moving fast and I knew I was already 4cm. The car ride was so uncomfortable and I was having a hard time breathing through the contractions, which were now about 2-3mins apart. We checked into L&D sometime around 11pm. When I was checked I was still 4cm, but 100% effaced. I was taken over to my labour room at this point, but I’m not sure what time it was. I got my IV placed and put in my order for an epidural ASAP. Like with DS, I felt most of my contractions in my back. It was so unbearable at times. I believe the anethesiologist showed up somewhere between 12:30am and 1:00am. It took a while to get the epidural in, which was the same with DS. Afterwards I had to lay on my left side for a while to get the epidural to spread evenly. Before I did this the epidural wasn’t affecting my left hip and I was feeling my contractions there like somebody was taking knife to my hip bone. Again, I had the same thing with DS. It was about 2am when I was pain free and was checked again. I was fully dilated. I couldn’t believe it! The OB broke my bag of water to bring the baby down and then I rested until 3am before I started pushing. I started pushing with the nurse and she was amazing. We had to turn the epidural down because I had a really good block and once that was done I could actually feel enough to push with my contractions. I decided to use a mirror and it really helped with my pushing because I could see the progress I was making. I decided to get an episiotomy because I could feel my perineum was holding me from pushing my baby out. Two pushes later, Leah Brooke was born at 3:55am on November 27th. It just so happens this is the date my DH said that she would come! Leah was 8lbs 5oz and 21” long. She is the spitting image of DS, but with less hair and a few more rolls to her. I got to hold her right away and after I had my episiotomy repaired I nursed her for an hour. She is doing great. I’m feeling pretty good, but am now having to deal with all the postpartum unpleasantries that I forgot all about. She is definitely worth it though!

I had a relatively short labor with my first daughter (5.5 hours), and I had heard the second time goes even quicker. However, I was not prepared for cutting things quite as close as I did!

I woke up last Thursday morning at 4:30 a.m. with cramping. Being one day from my due date, I had a strong inkling that this was it, but I wanted to fully wake up and assess things. So, I grabbed some water, went to the family room and flipped on the t.v.. After a b.m. and consistent cramps, I decided to wake up DH at 5:00 a.m., thinking he would need time to wake up, etc. I decided to shower and start putting the rest of my items in the hospital bag. (In a way I am kind of still denial here.) While doing this, I decide to have DH time my "cramps" just to get an idea. They were uncomfortable, but not painful. Well, they varied from 2 minutes to 6 minutes. I am concerned about how close they are together, but they are irregular, so I figure I have time.

We wake up DD at 5:45 a.m. to get her ready, as it seems inevitable that we are going to the hospital this morning and daycare is willing to take her early. At 5:50 a.m. my contractions start getting painful, so I decide to call the hospital L&D. She asks about the length of contractions. I hadn't been timing that, so I tell her about 20 seconds. So she says I probably have a few more hours of labor yet. I was not happy to hear this, because each contraction is getting more painful and closer together. I get off the phone and tell DH the bad news and apologize for getting everyone up so early. We decide to start timing the actual contractions and find that they are really about 45 seconds long, if not longer. DH calls back L&D and she tells him we can come if we want, and if I am not at 4 cm, we can walk the halls. So by this time it's nearly 6:30 a.m. and we start loading up the car.

We leave around 6:40 a.m. and by then I am in some serious pain. I can't sit, so I end up kneeling backwards in the front seat. DD is confused as to why mommy is sitting funny and I am trying to hide the pain from her. We get to DD's daycare at 7:00 a.m. I get out of the car to get some relief. (On the way there I had started getting concerned about the pressure I am feeling.) When DH gets back to the car, I have to muster up the strength to get back in. I tell him that I think this baby is close to making it's appearance. DH drives as fast as he can to the hospital, which thankfully goes quickly. We pull up to the ER entrance at 7:10 a.m. and the guards offer a wheel chair. The thought of sitting sounds too painful, however I can't walk either, as I am doubled over in pain. They encourage us to use it as it will be quicker. We get up to L&D and I jump out of the elevator to the desk and the staff can see immediately that I am in a hurry.

I get taken to a room to be checked, which I had been dreading (more pain). DH leaves to move the car out of the drop off zone. The nurse checks and says, "you are complete". Right away I am worried about DH leaving. She said, he is already down the elevator. They cart me into a labor room, and immediately the room fills with about 8 people bustling around. I feel like pushing but they are not ready for me, plus the doctor has not arrived. DH was quick, and returned to see the scene. The doctor comes in and we need to wait through a contraction to break the bag of waters. That was a nice relief in pressure - momentarily anyway. Then after 3 excrutiating pushes, I gave birth to my sweet Eleanor at 7:30 a.m.

I had an epidural with my first. Before and after that birth I always contemplated what a drug-free birth would be like, but knowing an epidural was an option, it is hard to say no to that. Well, this time I didn't have a choice, and now I am kind of glad I was forced to experience it that way. But, man, I don't think I want to do that again.

If you made it through this long story, kudos to you. I am just happy to re-live and document it.
