If you go with the magnetic locks, be sure to never mention "magnet" out loud. Just say, "key," or I'll bet your little Clara will be holding every single magnet she can find up there!

Yay for dropping! Good sign. Love the belly binder, and it's also great after birth to help hold everything in place.

Our birth pool was set up for a couple of weeks before Weston decided to show up. It had a filter & heater & cover so we just left it up ready to go. Tiven & I both soaked in it every night, and sometimes DH let her play in it after preschool, too! We have hardwood floors, so I'd gotten a bunch of cheap rubber-backed bathmats at the discount outlet to catch any slopping. We just hung them out back in the sun after she was done.
70% of the U.S. population now lives in a state where same-sex marriage is legal. At 36 and counting!

AHHHHH LYNN!!! I had no idea!!!! Congratulations dear!!!!

Sorry I went MIA. I popped on for a bit and thought I was going to have time to update but then I ran out of time and was pulled away. We have had a very busy few days. DD1 is not feeling well recently. I don't think it's anything severe, she has just let herself get rundown and hasn't eaten well and when you combine that with volleyball conditioning it doesn't make for a healthy girl. I can't be by her side reminding her to take care of herself all the time so this is her little lesson in what I preach all the time about eating right and getting enough sleep. And then tonight and tomorrow is our church picnic which is now awesomely located RIGHT across the street from us. We spent the evening over there and I brought the little ones home for bed and DH went back to help out at the stand we are usually co-chair with his brother and SIL. We aren't co-chairing this year due to the newest arrival but we both have still felt obligated to help them out however we can. It's so nice, right now I'm sitting at the kitchen table listening to the sounds from the picnic. I absolutely love living here. I never in a million years would've thought that I of all people would love living in town (besides a short time when DH and I got married and another year when DD1 was born, I've never lived in town). I don't think it would be the same anywhere else in town though, this neighborhood is amazing and the location to my kids' school and our church makes it perfect!

Anyway, nothing going on with the newest arrival. I'm not sure why everyone thinks I have any idea when this kid is going to arrive. I swear over the last few days everyone is suddenly interested in my "due date" and wants to know if I have any idea when (s)he is going to be here. My only answer is that I misplaced my crystal ball in the move so I have no guesses on the "when" of it, only God and LO know

I am feeling much more relaxed about LO's arrival though. I have almost everything ready, which is a HUGE accomplishment for a procrastinator with my experience DH has been working his rear off to help me get the salsa done, clean the house this weekend and get the laundry caught back up. I don't know how the man does it. He's a gift from God, I swear it!! He knew the state of the house was eating at me so he's been working nonstop to get it in shape, while I run around like an ADHD kid and start random projects all over the house. He patiently comes around behind me and finishes all the projects I start when I lose interest or, more accurately, when my attention is diverted to a new project

When people have asked me when a baby is going to arrive, I just like to point out that I'm pretty sure the baby doesn't have a pocket calendar in there.

I bet things like this picnic make you thrilled that you moved into town!!!
And what do you mean that you don't have a crystal ball?! Oh silly people. Babies don't "expire!"

LOL! I was asked yesterday if it was "early" for baby to arrive?

    I answered that I didn't know baby's schedule - but I'd try to ask.
