Yeah, its been pretty warm here during the day for winter and I've got some stuff blooming and some stuff that never died that usually isn't around right now. Hope the meds help and he clears up soon.

Luckily most DH's enjoying being used for whatever reason under the sun. I think mine totally looks foward to those last days of pregnancy to 'help out'.

Sorry to hear that you are feeling achy down there though.

My doc said that they are following updated guidelines and if your water breaks they don't start the 'clock' unless you get checked she asked me to come in and just make sure there is no visible cord but as long as nothing is introduced to the vagina I would be fine to get things going by walking, nipple stem etc. And yes I am sure the hubs won't 1mind being used lol

I hate trying to guess if ds is fighting allergies or a cold blah. I think I will ask some local friends if their allergies have perked up this week...

sorry if I wasn't clear. my water HAS NOT broken but in the case that it does, doc has requested we go ahead and come in. She told me about a lady whose hubs was in alaska and her water broke (he was over a day away from being able to get ther). She had her head to the hosp and doc got the nurse on the phone and was very firm about nobody touching her just making sure there was no visible cord. I am really happy with the hosp and the care I am receiving. She has offered interventions but completely leaves the decision up to me and is supportive of however I would like to proceed from here.

Oh yeah, I followed ya. That is really awesome. If your water breaks around here, you may as well set the clock for yourself cause they will be timing you. I wish more dr's were like yours.

I wish our belly buttons would only pop out once we were in active labor. That would make it easy. I like your POAS test idea Christa, we should get a patent for that.

It sounds like you are getting close though, so hopefully it won't be too much longer. It's good that you have a great doc and some positive signs!

Happy Due Date to me. Nothing going on but the same old here baby wise. sporadic & slightly painful ctx and lots cervix pains. doc appt tomorrow, going to ask for a vigorous sweep and just see what happens. Assuming SIL has baby today (fingers crossed) we are going to get a little more proactive probably thursday (if the sweep doesn't do it) and I think hubs is going to start his leave from work friday as well. That puts him home unitl March 26th!!! Super excited about that! Still enjoying some awesome 50+ degree winter weather, which means I can kick the munchkins outside. I think the fresh air is good for their congestion . It's supposed to be 60 here friday and saturday, which is crazy but hoping we are having a baby and the kids are getting lots of outside fun with the grandparents! Fingers crossed their colds and snot pass quickly so they can come see us at the hosp!!!

Rather exhausted today, ds1 decided to have a hard night sleeping and it was like having a newborn, LOL. It's extremely unusual for him to not sleep well after he falls asleep. He got out of bed at 12 and came into our room clearly half asleep, crawled in our bed and said he wanted to just watch some shows with us LOL!!! we obviously said no and just spent some time talking and cuddling with him. Got him convinced that he was tired and should head back to bed at 1am. Bairly dosed off and he was awake and singing to himself at 3am. that lasted till about 4! he has literally NEVER gotten out of bed and come into our room in the middle of the night, he has always asked for us to go to him so it was very strange! ds2 was bright eyed and standing at our bedside at 7:30, thankfully dh couldn't really sleep and got up with him so i went back to sleep for a few hrs. Now the hubs is sleeping on the couch, ugh weird day!

On the SIL front they decided to induce her yesterday for low fluid. I really thought it would quickly and smoothly b/c she was 41+1, 3cm & 50%. they started pit and from 12pm-8pm she made enough progress to keep her. She made no progress from 8pm-145am so they turned off the pit and gave her something to sleep. They restarted pit at 10am and her ctx got strong and hard fast. epi at 12 and now she's having good ctx but it's still slow going. Getting my updates from FIL so no #'s but i'm guessing the slow means she hasn't made it passed 5cm yet. I won't be asking her b/c i know this is not what she wanted at all and I am sure she is pretty upset but I'm really curious if she was up and walking or other things during the first round of pit. I was really surprised to hear she made such little progress in 12 hrs. and very sad for her. I hope things pick up quickly for her and baby makes his/her arrival soon. She would be devastated to end up with a c-section.

So, how did things turn out for your SIL?

Happy belated due date to you! We've been having lots of sleep issues with our DS lately. It's making me really remember what having a newborn is going to be like, oy! I hope your little guy slept better last night

We are going to go ahead and go in tomorrow at 7am (as long as there's room) to get things going. I am 4+ and a very soft 75%. Both doc and I have been getting progressively nervous about distance to the hospital and my history of labor. I feel really good about this plan. We talked about risk of cord prolapse and his head is covering the opening completely so the risk is very minimal. We also discussed maybe using castor oil at home but again, being at home makes me nervous since we are not planning a hb. The plan right now is to break my water and give me 2ish hours to walk and get things moving. IF ctx don't kick in we will do a very low dose of pitocin and then when ctx get going we will turn it off. I feel really good about it and am really excited!

SIL UPDATE: Baby got here yesterday at 3:10 YAY sounds like once the epi got in things really picked up. They had a little girl!
