Congrats on making it to 37 weeks! Babies always find a way to surprise us, I can just imagine this baby will shock you will come on or after 40 weeks!
That's grat that you have a sitter that has offered to stay with your boys if needed. One less thing to think about while prepping for birth.
What is your birth plan? Any techniques you find helpful with getting you through the birth process?

This little girl is in such a different position than my boys were and feels completely different. She probably will be the one who goes to 40 weeks or longer! Yikes, not sure I'll cope well with that.

My plan is not real detailed really...just try to avoid inverventions and stay as natural as possible. Honestly, where I started from when I found out I pregnant with my first was I did not want that needle in my back and I wasn't really afraid of birth. I was way more concerned about having an epidural, just the thought of the big needle, than I was of the natural pain. I read alot just through internet searches in the early weeks of my pregnancy and decided I wanted to take a Bradley class. I was a little late starting those and barely had enough time to get them all in before my EDD. I figured as a first time mom I was likely to go late anyway. But DS1 or my body had different ideas. I attended 3 of 12 classes before he was born.

I did manage to make it as natural as possible after spending 3 days in the hospital leading up to his birth. My technic? Just determined that's what I was going to do, going within myself...I don't like to be touched while laboring, and being blessed with good birthing genes. I have fairly quick labors.

I've been meaning to post a bit of an intro and my first two birth stories. I'll work on that now.

So a little about DH and me...I'm 36 and DH is 39. I always said my goal was to be done having kiddos by 35 and DH and I always said 2 maybe 3 little ones. I had my first at 31, which was longer than I wanted to wait. DH always let his fear of how to support our family affect his decision on starting and it finally got to the point of running out of time. So after the first 2 DH said he was fine with stopping but I couldn't get the idea of just a bit larger family out of my head. We had a surprise pregnancy last August; big surprise as we have been together for a while and much of our marriage with me off any BC aside of some loose family planning and thinking he was actually out of town the weekend I was fertile. That pregnancy sadly ended pretty quickly with a natural m/c. After the loss we were driving home and talking while the kids were strapped in the back and not able to disturb us too much. I told him I still wanted to have another baby and he said, without hesitation, you got it...we're not going out on this note. It was so sincere and just awesome that he was genuinely on the same page as me. So we JLIH, even though I charted so I would know accurate dates I didn't try to time DTD. We ended up pregnant after that first cycle and her I am. I am so wordy...impossible for me to tell a short story!

So backing up a bit...DH and I met at church. We were attracted to each other from the beginning of meeting and were "dating" pretty quickly afterward. I was 15 and he was 18. We never broke up and really grew up together in a lot of ways. We waited until after both graduating college to get married. We started dating in April of 1992 and got married in August of 2000. I still prefer to hang out with him than anyone else to this day. He's my best friend. Here's a pic of us on a trip with the youth group about a year into our relationship:

I don't have any of our wedding pics online. I might try to add one later.

So, hey, congrats on being more pregnant than you've ever been! You'll be fine going to 40 weeks. It's the 41+ and 42 weeks that can really kill you, LOL!

    Thanks!

Ha, I can only imagine! I have the upmost respect for ladies who are able to keep waiting day after day and resist the urges from their caregivers to induce. I'm done working on June 14th and will be 39 wks that weekend, if no baby first. I really don't think I'll mind one more week at that point b/c I'll be at home and maybe can actually get in a bit of nesting before this babe arrives. I've never been able to get my house in order before bringing baby home. It would be really nice!

I love how you talk about your DH being the person you like to hang out with the most. I feel that same way about my DH.

Not wanting to be induced and hypnobabies tracks helped me to ignore how far beyond my due date I was getting with DD2. I don't remember if I mentioned it in my old lodge, but I bought caster oil when I was 41+3 and just buying it seemed to be the que for her to start making her way out! I still have the bottle and play to put it on the counter at 41+1 and give this baby a little talking to... I would be okay going to 42 weeks, but knowing my OB said he was going to induce me the day I ended up having DD2 naturally makes me think it could be a battle. I still can't believe he would feel that way after seeing how everything worked out great with no interventions
