I'm no help. I'm pretty sure I was getting gobs of mucus plug all the time at the end with Tiven, for weeks & weeks, even though I never had any dilation at all. With Weston, I was 1cm dilated and had a cervical sweep on Friday morning, which triggered lots of bits of mucus over the day, and on Saturday morning I had a huge chunk that was seriously like a real plug, the size & shape of a freaking banana slug but pinkish. So gross! And then nothing more until Monday when labor started.

Mel, that's the other thought that crosses my mind, that I'm going to be totally shocked when it happens. We all know each labor and birth is so different so I have learned to never expect the same thing to happen twice lol!

I've had a break the last day or so, but I've been so busy showing houses that the time has flown by! I don't even really feel 40 weeks honestly. I'm not miserable by any means. I had some really significant pelvic pain but it has completely let up!

Who knows when it will happen!!! In any case, it won't be more than a couple of weeks and I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around that lol!

Come on, baby, you have about nine hours to get here on a fabulous date that you'll be delighted to write down for the rest of your life! That should be plenty of time if you get things started soon!

Haha! Still no baby. I had an appointment today and nothing new really. BP was good, baby's heartrate was good. ROA. I'm measuring 39 weeks and have measured 40 for the last several appointments, so she says baby has dropped slightly but still not engaged. And I'm proud of myself, I turned down a cervical check! There was no pressure from her at all, but she said she would just offer at this point if I wanted. I think it would do nothing but discourage me right now, so I declined.

At what point, if any, is she going to start getting worried & pressure you to do something? Here you simply can't have a homebirth after 42 weeks unless you're already in active labor when 42 weeks hits. That really does put pressure on at the end and I would have loved to have just coasted through those last weeks instead of worrying if I was going to miss the window.

As long as she collaborates with her physician once I hit 42 and he is on board, then I don't risk out of home birth and don't have to transfer care. She has been around so long and is such a wonderful midwife, that he pretty much backs her judgement on everything. We will also start biophysical profiles at that point and more frequent visits. That was my very first question at our first meeting, given my history of late bakers. She said it wouldn't be a problem and not to worry about it. Another friend of mine just went to 42+4 with no pressure. It's an incredibly nice feeling!

On a good note, I was up about 5:30 with ctx every 3-4 mins. No mucus or anything and they've slowed down a bit since my littles are up and about, but still coming. I fully expect them to stop at some point today, but maybe gearing up for the next couple days???

What the heck is going on? Had the ctx night before last. They picked up again last night. Then about 1 am got to every 2-3 mins and lasting a minute and 20 seconds or so. I took a bath and really wanted to sleep so thankfully they spaced out. Now I've been having about one contraction every 20 minutes to an hour but the intensity is crazy have-to-work-through-it style. They are so far apart but so intense when they do hit. Anybody had this happen before? I'll take it since I know each one has got to be doing major work. But this weird non-pattern with really hard, long contraction is foreign to me!

    Still no mucus or show.
