I can't believe it is time for your lodge! Welcome! :)
Yay! Welcome to your lodge!!!!
Hi.
Ok lets see what can I start with.
Today I am 38 weeks. I just got back from my OB visit and everything looks good they did the GBS swab and told me to come back in 2 weeks.
BP: 120/60
176lbs (started at 144)
(I was unable to pee)
He said I did not have any swelling just looking alittle puffy from having a summer baby. And that my numbness was normal in the eve as I maybe swelling more and it will feel like pins from some of the nerves being pinched in the wrist when I do swell.
We saw the baby on US. Still a BOY and his head is down but not engaged.
I have been nesting and got all my newborn diapers ready and put away yesterday.
After the 10th all of Heath's (my special needs child) medical visits will be over until after I am do.
I still need to buy:
Mama cloth (any sugestions?)
Breast pads
Pack and play (Before we go to VT to see Bill in Aug)
And then wash and put the infant cloths away. My DD's going to be 5 on July 3rd and my dad is buying her a new dresser for her birthday and I will be using the one she has now for the baby, so all the boys stuff will match. Right now they all have dark cherry bunkbeds, and a twin bed with a set of 3 drawers, under her bed. The boys share a 6 drawer dresser. I think I want to go all girly with her and get maybe something white, I already have a pull out queen futon that I am going to paint for her to have as a bed once we move to a bigger place and she has her own room. For right now they all are in my Dad's finished basement for a bedroom/playroom.
I have all this extra "I need to nest" energy without a nursery to get ready, so I have started 2 gardens and have been putting a few hours a day into weeding and planting them when it is not hot outside.
Oh and the car seat is in the van so all I need to do now is pack a bag and I'll be "ready" are you every ready?
Nope, you're never really ready, but it sounds like you are organized and on the ball. Well done! Glad you had such a good appt. Welcome to your lodge, looking forward to reading through it!
I just got back from getting my hair cut. It is SHORT now so I don't have to do anything but wash and air dry it. Mama and summer friendly with 4 kids and this heat.
Welcome! Congrats!
Julianna, I still need breast pads too, sigh.
I'm glad your schedule is almost read for this new one ;) And the dresser is a nice gift from your dad :)
Anyway, I'm glad you got your hair cut. That is wonderful! Want to share a picture?
Welcome to your lodge! Can't wait to read more :-). I had my hair super short last summer and LOVED it... so great for the hot weather!
Welcome to your lodge Mama! :) Do you have a sewing machine, or access to one? the mama pads & breastpads that I already reach for are the ones I've made myself, or WAHM ones. I've been looking on our local news websites under their classifieds for a pack n' play - some pretty good deals there on new ones, might be worth looking there for one if you guys have that sorta thing.
Will you be delivering in a hospital? I know for awhile you were giong back ' forth but I don't think I ever saw what your final decision was.
Hospital and it is pulling at my hart strings to do it. Even more now that homebirth is covred by insurance in VT as of a few weeks ago!!! I so want to deliver at Bill's house in VT, but we could not aford it and because I have NY medicade I don't think they will take it. Part of me is thinking an oops UAHB.
I am 36 weeks and the plan of this months is:
Bill comes to visit us this weekend
I go to him the next one (and if I get my "wish" labor will start then 38 weeks) and we will be forced to call the midwife in VT and just deal with the cost :)
I was ok with the hospital birth because my OB supports water births in the hospital tub, but I just found out that the hospital only has ONE tub!!! So if someone is using it I'll be out of luck :( What I have to do is call and see if the hospital will let me rent and bring my own tub to use in any room.
