That's a lot to take in at one appt. I've known of quite a few babies who were transverse right up until the end. Hopefully he'll turn quickly for you! FWIW, my contractions never seem to get any worse with walking. In fact, sometimes they will go away completely with activity. I know every woman is different.
Glad your iron is coming back up and that the little guy is still baking away.

Maybe TMI... and I must brag at how non-invasive the MWs are at the birthing center-- not only did I get to do my own GBS test but I thought I may have a yeast infection or maybe just irritation so I wanted them to look for themselves and they did and swabbed me and instead of doing the swab like they do at the Ob's office, this was much simpler-- no stirrups, which put me in a more comfortable position, and no deep swabs, they just swabbed right inside and were able to tell very quickly in their lab that I had a yeast infection.![]()

Welcome to your lodge! It's hard to believe that August mamas are getting lodges.![]()
My little guy was transverse until last week. My midwife told me to go swimming and just kick on a kickboard for awhile...after 30 minutes, I felt him go head down. That doesn't mean he'll stay that way, but he has so far. Do you have anywhere you can swim without your older two for awhile?
Sounds like you're getting great prenatal care. I love the midwife model.
I believe it is common to post your previous birth stories so I figured I'd take the kid-free time I have right now to do that.

Our little co-sleeper:
On June 18, 2006, I started getting a bloody show. Contractions started picking up but were nothing regular. I had an appointment June 19th where I was 0 cm and my cervix had done NOTHING-- I came home and just cried and cried b/c I was so DONE and ready to meet my baby boy. I was still contracting a good bit but I had convinced myself they weren't doing anything so we decided to go for a walk after dinner at the park with my dad. The contractions continued picking up and I could tell they were trying to get regular-- by 7:30 p.m. they were every 8 minutes on the dot. I didn't want to get my hopes up so I went to bed in a bad mood figuring they'd quit-- I continued to have a bloody show during all of this. At about 3:15 a.m. a good contraction woke me up and I was pretty sure this was it. I hopped out of my bed super excited when 5 minutes later, another good contraction hit and I KNEW this was it. Looking back, if I knew then what I knew now, I would have stayed home and labored some on my own instead of heading to the hospital where they would want me in and outta that delivery room as soon as possible. I woke up DH and we got my dad and his grandmother and were heading to the hospital around 4 a.m. We got there and I was indeed in labor but my cervix was still closed up tight so they decided to start a pit. drip b/c I wasn't "progressing fast enough." I was at a 4 by midmorning and got an epidural. My labor slowed down so they broke my water. A few more hours in and I started running a fever and Zach's heart-rate dropped, so I was started on antibiotics. At 5:00 p.m. the nurse came in just to check on me and also check my cervix and I was at a ten and ready to push-- not sure how long I'd been that way b/c I could feel nothing! No pressure, no contractions, nothing! I started pushing and even though they said I was a really good pusher, Zach was born at 5:50 p.m. sunny-side up via vaccum delivery.
He was a wonderful nurser (though I gave up at six weeks when I went back to work) and was just the love of my life! I knew fairly quickly that I was ready to do it again and soon-- I found out Zoey was on her way when Zach was ten months old.
(Stay tuned for her birth story, I ran outta kid-free time!)![]()

No real news to report. I'm going for a massage tonight to hopefully help loosen these tight muscles and in return, help me relax my uterine ligaments enough to get this baby to turn and drop down-- wish me luck! Been on my feet and doing pelvic rocking and Tailor sitting A LOT the past week trying to get him to move-- I don't think I've had much luck but I'm not giving up hope!![]()
