Great intro! Christopher was such a little peanut and he is/was so cute! Yay for getting to start those appts. on Monday! Have a great weekend getting baby stuff ready. I need to get my wraps and carries out too and wash and practice getting into them again.

I just walked into town to the health food store to pick up EPO and RRL tea. I pushed DS1 in the stroller, and I now I am completely worn out. I know it's good for me, but phew!
BTW, I am 36w + 5d today. That is when my water broke with Christopher, and he was born the following day. I don't think this guy is going anywhere for a while, but it's weird to think that I was about to go into labor at this point with my first baby.
I had my first end-of-pregnancy acupuncture appointment today - I have them weekly until the end. It is supposed to help loosen things up and help with an easy recovery, as well as help get labor going once my body's ready for it. I have been doing acupuncture regularly throughout the entire pregnancy, but this was totally different. All of the first few points that she did gave me huge ZINGs when she put the filaments. Very strange. The baby liked it, though. He was dancing around while I rested.
My heartburn is suddenly gone - I'm guessing that the baby dropped somewhat, although he's still not very low.
Here is my 37 week belly:
Hi, Erin! I'm so excited about your second baby. Woot!
Good for you for getting out And double yay for acupuncture.

You are looking fabulous!

Had my 37 week appointment today. I've gained 40 lb overall so far, which is not a big surprise since that is what I gained with DS when I delivered at 37 weeks. No more lectures, although I get nervous about it every time I go in.
GBS negative was the big news. Woo hoo!
I had a cervical check. Absolutely nothing going on so far. I know it's early, and I know it doesn't really mean anything anyway, since people walk around dilated for weeks, or alternately go from 0 to labor in no time flat, but it still would have been nice to see a little action going on.
And I have to start going in twice a week for NSTs, due to being of "advanced maternal age." It's rather inconvenient, since I'm still working full-time, but hey, what are you going to do?
Poor DS has been extra-needy the past couple of days. I think he is starting to really feel the big change that is coming. Also, we had some very bad health news family-wise that is weighing on DH and me, and I think he can feel that, too. He is a sensitive little guy, for sure. I am going to try to get out of here a little early today so I can give him some extra cuddles this evening. It's about all I have energy for these days, anyway.
May I borrow your little guy for some cuddles too? Serious family health issues going on here as well.

I'm sorry you weren't more dilated, that can be disheartening to hear, but it sounds like things are pretty standard and healthy for your gestational age. Yay to GBS-, that's one less thing to worry about in labor.
When are you finally off for maternity leave?
