DH picked up take-out on his way home tonight so I could snuggle with DS instead of making dinner (DS got leftover homemade alphabet/minestrone soup). I got him to bed at 7:15 or so, so I hope he'll be feeling a little better tomorrow. Poor guy.
Good news about the GBS-!
So sorry you guys are going through a tough time. Lots of extra cuddles to your little guy. Hope tomorrow is better.
Yes, just say no to working longer if you go late. I can't believe your boss actually thinks that!

My boss is a little clueless about some things, but he's harmless (and really, really book-smart). He asked me if I would go to India with him in mid-July (I was around 32 weeks at that point). I told him, a) I'm not taking all those shots when I'm pregnant, b) I'm not sitting on a plane for 24 hours, and c) oh yeah, I'M NOT GOING TO INDIA 32 WEEKS PREGNANT!
That cracks me up India in the 3rd trimester....what a thought!

Yay for GBS-! I bet DS loved the extra time being able to cuddle with you. I had to laugh at going to India at 32 weeks....crazy!!

Can you imagine how aweful a 24 hour flight would be at 8 mos pregnant? That's nuts.
Yay for GBS-. It's such a pain to be positive.
I don't blame you for wanting time off instead of working if you are still pg past Sept 10. Put your feet up! Do you have a feeling about when you'll birth?
The other option is that he'll come on September 9th, because that would be the most inconvenient for DH with a big presentations he has that day.
Wow, India at 32 weeks?! Can you imagine just how many times you'd have to get up to pee in those terrible little plane bathrooms? And suggesting that you start a new project if you go late! Silly man. I told my boss I'll continue to come in up until birth if possible but he can effectively consider my projects completed at 38 weeks (just in case).
Yay for GBS-!!!!
I just completely broke down sobbing at my desk (luckily working from home today) - big fat tears, the whole bit. What pushed me over the edge? My dog pooping in the house, after I had gotten up from my conference call 4 times to let her out.
Then I ate a plate of leftover pasta with Italian sausage. Yup, it's 10:30 in the morning.
Now off to a meeting with a colleague I can't stand. Hopefully I can make it without biting his head off or getting fired in the process.
