Appt shuffle-xp

For a while now I've been waiting for my appt where I'll be starting my fight with my hospital and its fast approaching this week. So I've been praying that I'll be able to see the right OB to help me in my quest for a VBA2C since the hospital policy is no VBACs after 2 c-secs. The last OB was dead set again any talk of a VBA2C that I'm pretty sure she rolled her eyes at me when I even hinted at my plan. She's just dead set against VBACs of any kind if her attitude was any indication. She treated me like an idoit once I commented that I was happy that my measurements were right on that time unlike the month before where I measured 2 weeks ahead. From that point on she started treating me like a first timer. Anyway, I digress. At the 32 week appt is when I was told we'd discuss my birthing options and I'm pretty sure I was put to see her.
Then yesterday I recieved a call from the OBs saying they needed to reschedule me since mine would be in madatory training :woohoo: and so I was rescheduled. Then I was just called again to be rerescheduled and now I have another doc, this time a male. For some reason this is comforting to me. I'm just hoping that a guy will listen to me but only time will tell. Still I'm hoping.

Have you tried contacting your local or state ICAN groups to see if they know anything about these doctors?

I have no local ICAN here and since we're military unless I pay out of pocket I'm stuck with what I get. All I know is they can't force anything on me and I take comfort in that fact. I'm still considering hiring a doula but it really depends on how tight money gets here. If things go well I'm going to ask that he continue to be my provider. If not I'll ask for the one lady who was sooo supportive of my plans, I just need to find out her name! She was a last minute switch out. Apparently our military hospital has a midwife, I just don't know if they'd let her work with me or not, but its worth a shot. Even if I do like this guy I still plan on looking her up. And if I find out the mean doc will be on duty that night I'll just cross my legs till morning, lol. Her name I will not forget anytime soon.

Oh man! Such a tight spot. I'm definitely praying for you Tiffany. And you're right... they can't make you do a darn thing! Hopefully you can labor at home for most of it and go in just for the delivery. Less time for them to intervene! But I sure hope you get a supportive doc. Hope this guy is good to you. Definitely, KUP!

that's my ultimate plan if they are too against me, which most of the docs are. Just another one of those things. I just hope I can time things well, its one of my bigger worries. Still as long as she's in a good position and we're both healthy I'm not forseeing any problems. Still things would be easier if I could just find the right doc there.
