I have a friend who has had three c-sections and proudly gloats that in her 40s after three kids, she can jump on the trampoline with her kids or sneeze while squatting and has no trouble at all with incontinence, thanks to her c-sections. And it's true that after six vaginal births, I have terrible stress incontinence - heck, it was bad after #3 & 4 (twins), so I've been dealing with this for quite a while. I have no doubt that eventually I'll have to have surgery to correct this problem - ain't no amount of kegels going to help at this point.
What bugs me is not knowing what to say when she says stuff like this. Because there's truth to it, you know?
