Default Can I birth without intervention?!

So now that I am down to the wire and B-Day is quickly approaching Im still hunting for a new OB. (And of course my phone crapped out on me, the screen went black and when it does turn on people on the other line cant hear me GRR)

My biggest worry is if things go as planned and I dont need induced for preeclampsia that my body just wont do anything since I was induced twice (36&37w) I've read so much about induction some claim it CAN have an effect and nothing will happen until intervention and then Ive read the total opposite; that all will be fine and it'll happen.

Ive been having lots and lots of BHC's, lots of birth dreams, lots of weird "nesting". Im just worried that even if I dont develop pre-e (so far so good) my body will be like "So umm what now?" lol

Your body knows what's up. No one's ever been pregnant forever for lack of induction. When baby is ready, it'll happen.

You're body will know what to do! I was induced at 41 weeks with my first and had basically 0 signs of labor starting on it's own but went into labor with my other two at 39 weeks and 38 weeks. Though my third was assisted a little bit because I had been in labor for 3 days. lol. You may end up going past due but you won't be pregnant forever. It's a good sign that you are having contractions already though. That means your body is prepping itself for the real deal. You will do great and having an amazing birth! Just keep repeating to yourself, "my body can do this, my body was made to do this." Believe in your body and it will respond positively for you.

I agree that your body will know what to do. I also think that it's fantastic you've escaped pre-e thus far. I hope things continue to go well with that for you so that it will be that much less stress on your body. Your doula training should also be so helpful in keeping calm and focused when the time comes. I'm so thrilled for you.

SQUEE!! I think I FINALLY have found a hospital AND OB team that I love and accepts my insurance!! Hopefully hub will work in the afternoon so I can use his phone and call to confirm they do and make an appointment. Cross your fingers for me ♥ I NEED this! (Community Hospital for those who live in Indiana and have been following my OB hunt lol)

Yep, no one can stay pregnant forever. It's such a common fear (one I had too!), but has no basis in reality. Many women claim that their bodies just don't go into labor on its own when it's really they didn't give themselves enough time. You can do this!

yep, agree with Jackie! You just have to wait until your body is ready! You will go into labor on your own if you give it time! Glad you found an OB team you like!

NO ONE wants to take me. Everyone has this 20week cut off which I kind of understand. (I'd get a midwife but my insurance will not cover that and there's no way we can pay out of pocket for one right now) Anyway, does anyone know how to get around this "rule". I refuse to have another disaster birth( Ive had two god awful births one a near death experience) , Ive been looking for a new OB since 15weeks and after interviewing and talking with people I THOUGHT I would like; Ive only just found a hospital I like and group I like. I want to take charge of my birth, but if no one will take me Im afraid I'll end up with yet another horrible birth at the hospital and group I am currently stuck with. Im freaking out!

I think your body can do it. I was augmented with my first at 41w3d and induced with my 2nd at 41w, my 3rd I went into labour on my ow at 40w4d. With my first 2 I had high blood pressure and with my 3rd I didn't. I did in the last few weeks of my 3rd pregnancy use Evening Primrose oil to help get things going but other than that no other help.

Sorry about having a tough OB search - I hope you are able to find someone in time.
