Thread: Coming Out of Lurking...

Hi! I've been lurking here for a while, but I figured I should go ahead and introduce myself! My name is Kristen and I am new to homebirthing. My DD was born in March of 2008 and while I was informed in my birth choices and had a hospital birth (my choice), but due to circumstances beyond my control I ended up with an epi. I wanted to try for a home water birth this time around. I plan on using HypnoBabies, which I'm in the process of ordering. I have an amazing midwife and my doula from my last pregnancy is training to be a midwife as well (I'm her first mommy!) so she'll be along for the ride as well. I am occasionally going to my OB, as she'll run my labs for free (insurance covers them) and she'll deliver me if I have to transfer to the hospital. I can't wait to get to know all of you amazing ladies! Also...a special hi there to all you Feb 08 and Sept 10 Mommies!!!

Also wanted to add, I was just looking at the page with Birthing Quotes, and my midwife, Marina Alzugaray, has a quote in there. So cool!!!
