Hi ladies! So, my MWs recommended EPO, orally and vaginally. I was hesitant at first, but then Emily posted that she's been using it and it seems to be kicking things into gear and I was all about it. Then someone else (Ariel?) posted about how it leaks and stinks. DF loves his morning sex, and so do I and I don't want a stinky, leaky vajayjay to get in the way of that. Is anyone that has or is using it still having sex? Has anyone's partners been turned off by it? Any thoughts?
I used EPO orally and vaginally starting at 36 weeks at night. I don't think it made any difference for me in any way (but I also have nothing to compare to)...but I also didn't notice any leaking or stinkiness. I know DH and I had sex once or twice near the end, but I don't remember if it was after I started using that stuff or not.

Hmm, a stinky leaky vagina probably means an infection. Maybe she didn't wash her hands good enough when she put it up in there?

This is the 4th pregnancy I've used EPO with and I've never noticed a smell. It seems very neutral to me. Infact, DH and I use it for sex...pop a pin in that little caplet and you've got a great lube.
I'm with Emily! It was awesome sex lube! DH wanted to keep using it after we had the baby. lol. It only leaks for the first half of the night. Mine usually drained out after the first bathroom visit for the night.

And then it did make me feel very leaky overnight, but it was just the oil... there wasn't much actual leaking, but it felt very wet.
BTW, I wonder if the brand of EPO makes a difference as to how it smells??

My last pregnancy I used it both orally and vaginally at the end plus we DTD daily and never had any issues. There is a different smell to the oil but it seems to not be an issue that I remember.

I always keep the EPO caps in the fridge - it totally dulls the smell (and the taste). I have a super sensitive nose even when I am not pregnant and this always helps.
I wonder if they really need to be pricked though - when I had to use vaginal progesterone I never pricked them and they always dissolved - they are also gel caps. Anyone not prick their EPO?
