Any news on your placenta situation? I saw in another thread that you said you are still risked out of the birth center. Any updates?

I had an ultrasound last Thursday - it has moved enough that I am not going to need an automatic c-section , but it is still considered low-lying, so I am risked out of the birth center and would be required to have a heplock and continuous monitoring. I have another u/s scheduled for 38 weeks and hope that it is clear enough that I am not risked out of the birth center. I am going to talk to my m/w about it more next week and see how much wiggle room I have.

    Thanks for asking!

That's fabulous! I hope it keeps moving so you don't even have to worry about it.

Do you know how far from the os it actually is at this point? I just had mine looked at and I'm 6cm away now, plenty far. There is still time for it to move, so you could end up being all clear by the time you're in labor.

It's 2.1cm from the os - I believe the minimum it needs to be is 3cm in order not to be risked out of the birth center.

I am continuing to do all the things I have been for the past month - acupuncture every week, RRL tea daily, chiropractor 3x/week, tincture of astragalus 3x a day - hopefully one of those or the combo is helping. It moved almost 1 cm between 30 and 34 weeks, it moved only .2cm between 20 and 30 weeks.

I would LOVE it to be 6cm away! I don't think that's happening anytime soon though.

That is good news! I'm glad it's out of the automatic c-section range! I hope it moves the other 0.9 cm before your birth so you can use the birth center.
