Hi Everyone! My name is Ashly and I have 4 kids expecting #5 any day! I lurk over here and don't post so I hope you don't mind me asking you something!
At 20 weeks I had to have emergency hernia surgery under my bellybutton about 3 inches to the left because the uterus was growing inside the muscle wall, so instead of my bowls coming out of the hole the uterus was in there. Werid I know! Any ways......
I am almost 39 weeks, this is the most pregnant I have ever been! I normally have them at 37 weeks and I did have a 32weeker. My dr didn't think I would make it this long and we were even thinking about an induction at 36/37 weeks but she was really small and we said we would just go till I went into labor!
Last week I had a membrane sweep to try and help things move along it hurt and there was a lot of blood a few hours later I did start having contractions but mostly in my back and it was horrible! I finally ended up in the hospital for 12 hours contractions every 12 minutes down to every 5 minutes but after 12 hours it was starting to stop. And it was all back labor.
My dr says even though baby is head down she is sunnyside up. She said I can deliver baby like this but it will be a lot of back labor.
So has anyone given birth with a sunnyside up baby?
A lady at church is a nurse and she also said that maybe I won't be able to have the baby vaginal because my muscle wall is still very weak and the surgery was done right in the area that I need to push and have the baby come down. Do you think that is true? I am going to ask my ob but I am nervous about the c-section I have never had one but I need to prepare I guess!
Thank you for reading this, sorry it's so long but I figured I would ask over here!
