Maybe this was already mentioned and I just didn't see it but one thing we also had was an ice cream bucket for the placenta. I also had a couple of clearanced (ugly) vinyl table clothes that we put under the pool so it would protect the carpet and for me to step out on. DH ended up having to run downstairs to get a large stock pot during labor because he put warm water in the pool (which he was supposed to do) but I ended up sweating so bad during labor (which I should've known I'd do as I always sweat buckets during hard labor) that I demanded he get the warm water out of the pool so I could keep the hose on and keep cold water flowing over me. That was really the only thing that wasn't on our "list" that we ended up needing. Well, we also needed alcohol and a knife to cut the cord but that was only because my mw didn't make the birth so we ended up doing a bit more than we thought we'd have to.
I'm so excited for you Allie!!!! My mw's assistant was praying for us when they were on their way and we all realized I was going wayyyyy too fast for them to make it. She prayed I would have the strength, wisdom and guidance to have the exact birth I wanted. I'll pray for those same things for you :) Her praying worked because I did get exactly what she asked for!
