Hypnobabies

I am planning on getting hypnobabies and was wondering what all I should get? Should I get the whole home study course or just some cds? I don't want to buy I bunch of things I don't need but if the whole course is beneficial then I will get the whole thing. I also want to get it as soon as possible since I only have a few more weeks left before term and both my other kids were born at 37 weeks. Any help would be awesome!

You can only learn Hypnobabies via the live class or complete home study set. Smile

I am preparing for my 4th hypnobabies birth & can't speak higher of it. Seeing that your 32 weeks & you typically deliver around 37 weeks I would get it as quickly as possible. You'll need to either find a class (although I don't know how many wks they run - Laura?) Or you'll want to purchase the entire homestudy kit - every bit of it is worth purchasing Smile

ITA with the others, you need the complete course. The home study course is supposed to take 6 weeks, I believe, but you can probably do it faster. You could skip much of the general ed birth stuff since you already know it, and double up on the practice sessions. It will take more of your time in the next few weeks, but IMHO Hypnobabies is absolutely worth it. Good luck with your birth!

Thanks so much guys! I am planning on ordering it today and hopefully it will be delivered soon. I do plan on doubling up the lessons since my time is short. I wish I would have thought of doing it earlier. I am reading the hypnobirthing book and just thought having actual disks walking me through it would work easier and help me not to forget everything during the actual birth.

NAK--I wanted to respond earlier, but wasn't able to. I agree with the others. In my first preg read the Hypnobirthing book and tried to practice with the CD that came with it and found it didn't help me much during the birth (ended up with epidural). I used the Hypnobabies homestudy for my second, and found it very easy to access what I had learned while practicing during the birth. I love it so much, I'm training to become an instructor.
