I am officially...

the mean stupid person for being against Inductions. lol. I have a step cousin who is not feeling good about being induced tomorrow, her due date isn't till Friday, for no medical reason and was asking about the pros and cons of being induced. SO I laid it out for her and about half+ of her friends started saying that they had wonderful experiences being induced, that THEY got to pick the birthday, get everything ready, things were calm, yadda yadda yadda, and that every baby, mother, and pregnancy is different, and the pitocin isn't that hard on your body because it's only used to "start" labor. BS!!! I was on pit through my entire 14 hour labor! They said some other things too about not listening to those that are telling her not to do it and to do what she feels is right. Well I hope she DOES because she does not feel right about being induced. Show those Biotches up! lol. It was just funny how many people jumped me about being so against it. I think I had 2 people that actually agreed with me. HA HA HA. Anyway, wasn't a vent post, just wanted to let you girls know that I'm officially the crazy stupid person with going against doctors, and letting baby's come when they are ready. lol.

We've all been there.

I hope she reconsiders-- we all know how hard pit induced labors are. Here's hoping she has a positive outcome.

Erin- that's one thing I'm not looking forward to about my BB in the end. I hate seeing those posts. I actually avoided my last BB in the last few weeks because of it.

The good thing that came out of it was one of her friends, who wants so hard to have a natural birth with her second, got a hold of me and set her up with some information a doula. Smile winky-the-houseelf should be getting a call from her. Smile

oi!!! this bothers me too!!!

my neighbor had her first baby prematurely at 32 weeks. He must have been remarkably healthy because she said she was able to bring him home after 5 days. I thought her dates might have been wrong, but she said he was only 3lbs, so perhaps he was only 32 weeks.

she just had her second baby. She kept saying that she was going to make her Dr. induce her at 36 weeks. Lo and behold her baby came at 36 weeks. I don't know for sure that she was induced, but it seems like it. And she got her epi at 2cm... so I'm thinking she musta been induced. Makes me crazy!!

I carried my baby till 41 weeks, having him 5 weeks earlier would have been heaven, but I can't imagine putting your body or your baby's at risk like that!!

I was induced with my second and third children, and the contrations were horrible! With #2 I was 39 weeks, 4 days and I went in for my routine checkup and was diatled 5CM without having any contractions (not that I could feel anyway!). The OB sent me right to L&D, although I had to go home because they were full. They scheduled me for the next morning... they told me their reason was that if my water were to break at home I might not make it to the hospital in time being that far dialated, so I was OK with it. With my 3rd baby, my muscles "down there" were so relaxed that it caused extreme pain just to walk for more than 5 minutes or so, to the point of tears, as it felt like a constant contraction when I would stand up, so my OB induced me at 39 weeks. Both labors were very painful as far as contractions go, and I got an epi with each. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that with this baby I can make it all the way (even if I'm confined to a bed lol) with no inductions needed and no horrible back labor (which I had with baby #1, but I had him with no pain meds), as I know I can go natural if things would just be normal lol! I hope she reconsiders!

She ended up getting induced but waited till the day before her due date. She had a really fast labor but that's about all I know about it. I'm glad she at least waited a little bit longer I just wish she wouldn't have done it at all. Beee
