I'm Joining You: December 2010 Homebirth

I was feeling strange last night (moody, sore, tired) and decided to POAS even though it was only 9DPO and I was convinced that nothing would show on the test. Wellllll, I got a BFP and then two more! Lol So, it looks like we have a baby on the way with an EDD of December 22nd. I am so excited about a Christmas baby!

My first birth, with Will, was a traumatic vaginal hospital birth and so when I got pregnant with Lucas, I planned for a homebirth. He ended up being born unexpectedly and still when I was 18 weeks along. The labor/delivery at that stage was really easy and it was very nice not having hospital staff to interrupt us while we were going through everything, including all of our emotions. Our midwife came to visit us and pray with us and that was just wonderful.

Sooooo, this time I'm planning for another homebirth and I am so excited! I am very early in this pregnancy but thanking God for the blessing we've been given and praying God's protection and sustenance for this baby, along with a healthy pregnancy and birth.

I look forward to seeing some familiar faces and getting to know the rest of you that are here. Biggrin

Hmm, let's see if I can remember. scubaj43 had a thread about trying to make her insurance work for a homebirth, jonibug (though I don't think she has a BFP yet), and lil momma 1991 (kendra).

Jenn- That is a great group of us. I'm so excited about that!

Connie and drakew - I've missed you two very much! Things here have been okay, just not much time to get online. I can't stay away when pg though Lol . It's wonderful to see you both and I can't wait to catch up. Smile
