A little late to the party...

...but can I join in anyways?

Hello everyone, my name is Tina and I am a LONG-TIME lurker (a little embarrassed to admit how long actually, so I won't!). I am currently 31 weeks pregnant Smile
I havea DD who will be 5 in April who is very excited about the arrival of her baby "bruzzer". My first labour was a classic case of cascading interventions which, combined with what may have been pre-ecclampsia, resulted in an emergency c/s. I've switched to midwife care this time around (I looked into it last time but it was unavailable in my area) and am really looking forward to a very different birth. I haven't faced any opposition in terms of the VBAC, even with the OB I saw briefly at the beginning of my pregnancy, and am very hopeful that all will go well. I guess that's it for my intro - if you have any questions, don't be shy Smile

Hi! :wavehello: I'm glad you are here. Now I'm not the only newbie on the BN board! I'll admit I'm a complete novice when it comes to this stuff, but I'm hopeful that with Hypnobabies and the unfailing support of my online friends that I can get my unmedicated VBAC this time! Welcome! I'll be excited to hear more about your pregnancy and birth!

Hi! I have been a lurker here for awhile too Smile Its really great that you haven't had any opposition regarding VBAC! Are you planing on using a specific birthing method or technique? Hope everything continues to go well for you and can't wait to hear more!

Welcome! Yay for going for a VBAC. A supportive provider makes such a difference. I'll be cheering for you!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone Smile

@ Becky - No, not any one particular method. I'm just approaching labour with a very different mindset, a more supportive care provider and a different partner this time around! I'm also planning on having my mom present the whole time this time. My ex and I had opted for the "privacy" of just the two of us and asked my mom not to come until we called. Luckily for me she didn't listen because we were both really happy to see her when she arrived in the morning after I'd been labouring without progress all night. Just having her there was a huge relief and I'm convinced that played a part in the progress I did make before all the complications started.
