lol. I've tried about everything to make a little money so maybe i'm desperate. Anyway I learned how to crochet beanies for newborns and infant/toddlers and LOVE it! So I decided heck why not try selling them? I priced yarn and everything and then started up a blog. Hopefully this Friday I can get some more yarn and start making the beanies!
Well here is my request, could you gals pretty pretty pretty please help get the word out? It would be so much appreciated and everyone that can get at least 5 people to follow my blog I will crochet a beanie for.If you can get 5 people to join, please be honest about it too, just send me an email, my address is on my blog, with the size you want. I let you know what color of yarn I will be getting and you can choose from that.
Thank you so much!!!

I was going to see if my SIL could make one for our upcoming arrival, but she seems really busy. Can I place an order with you? I tried to learn to knit so I could make one for her, but it's just too much for me right now. I want something handmade for her to wear in the hospital and it would mean more to me to buy from someone I "know" than from a store iykwim????
(fyi, you have a misspelling in your About Me on the blog. sorry, used to be an editor, hard to not edit stuff)
I've looked into Etsy but I don't like the feel of it. Most of what I want to try and sell there are a ton of other people doing the same thing.
Christa- I would love to make one for you! DH gets paid tomorrow and I will be getting some more yarn. Is there a color you would like?

Not trying to freak you out or anything, but make sure you look into the CSPIA laws regarding hats. There was a hush hush law passed last year that requires you to do some things with items made for children under 13. I think with hats you need to include some type of tag either on your hat or with the hat that includes the manufacture date and some other things. I just dont know what since I dont make hats.
But, with that being said, I sell on etsy and its a really great place. Good atmosphere and very friendly people to help you!

would the infant/toddler size fit a 2 1/2 year old with long hair?
Some other blog businesses will do give-aways where they will have people "become a follower" and leave them a comment and then they draw a winner or two for a free product from all the comments. And they'll give extra entries for people who post about the give-away or the business on facebook or their own blog.

It should. It fits my 2 year old with a huge head. lol. Seriously my boys have enormous heads. I'll give you the measurements of the hat and my boys head to give you an idea. Here's the measurements for the toddler beanie 6 1/4 tall x 7 in wide. DS1 is sleeping right now so I'll get his head measurements later.
Maybe i'll do the drawing thing too.
I just looked into an article about the CPSIA and if it's just a simple crocheted hat without any frills, buttons, metallic thread, beads, etc. Then there is no worry. If I add anything to them it will most likely just be little flowers I crocheted or things like that and something big enough that a baby wont be able to swallow and chock on.

well, it looks like she's not gonna get to wear one at the hospital after all. I'm here at the hospital in labor, but I would still like one eventually. As soon as you get some yarn let me know and I will pick some out. Thanks!!
Pink it is! Do you want a newborn one still then. Sorry i couldn't make it for the hospital! But so glad you are in labor and about to have your sweet baby!
