Looking forward to hearing how the appointment goes! I agree with pp's even if it is just a first interview, and even if it isn't w/ a MW (which would be weird anyway b/c you should meet at least one of the MW's you'll be seeing throughout your pg!) I still think it would not be an imposition or inappropriate to ask to speak to one of the MW's about the spotting, etc... usually brown/tan is not a concern anyway, but if you need to be reassured, then they need to reassure you!!
    Hope it goes well!

    Lurking...

That's where midwives excel... in giving you the time you need to discuss whatever is concerning you.

Yeah, it was definitely an informal interview and not medical at all. They didn't have any medical equipment there even to ask about a heartbeat check.

That being said, I LOVE the midwife we met. It's a new location they are sharing with a doctors office so she was only there doing interviews today. But she was super nice. After we did the preliminary Q&A, she asked us if we definitely wanted midwife care and of course we said yes! She said she would probably be one of the 3 midwives I would get assigned that work on rotation.

I get my first actual medical appointment with them next week. I filled out some privacy/permissions forms so she could order my medical/pregnancy documents from my fertility clinic and family doctor ahead of time.

I can't wait until next week!! She also knows my friend who is a midwife who trained at this clinic before graduating. Very neat!

Glad it went well, and you don't have long to wait until your first actual appointment
