Midwives in Atlanta

OK, so I just have to get this off my chest. What is up with the midwives in Atlanta? It seems like every time I turn around, they've switched practices. There practically aren't any midwives in the whole city who are at the same practice this time as they were when I was pg with my daughter. Is this typical for midwives? Or is there some reason why they do this? It's starting to make me nervous that there's some bad reason why they can't stay at the same place.

Also (and this is a lot more specific to Atlanta-area people than just in general, so hopefully there's someone on here who's local), does anyone have an opinion between Intown Midwifery and Atlanta Midwifery? Or any information about when the renovation of N Fulton into a birth center will be done? I was planning on delivering with IM this time, but N Fulton is much closer to me.

Hi Harmony. I don't personally know much at all about how midwifery works here in the states or why they'd run around switching practices. If you interview some of them you might ask them about it to see if there's a reason why they do that.

I'm happy to see you here. How are you feeling these days?

Thanks, Anna. I'm feeling pretty icky these days, but nothing too horrible. I had to visit the ER last week, but it was just a subchorionic bleed, and the baby is fine.

I will probably ask at my appointment with Intown next month, but that just seems so far away. Smile And to be honest, I thought I might get a straighter answer from here.

Have you contacted ICAN of Atlanta? They should be about better birth and helping women get information, even for those not VBACing and such. Worth a try to get info from other local women. Smile
