Ovarian Twitching?

Why am I suddenly lurking (and goodness, posting!) on the NCB board? Baby #2 isn't even in the game plan yet! Stupid ovaries and their stupid 'baby-fever' hormones. What gives?

I think I'll hang out here a bit just to quench this bizarre desire for another baby. Riiight, like it works like that. Anyway, just thought I'd announce my countdown to TTC number 2 sometime in the next year. If y'all could help me hold out until next December, that would be awesome. Wink

LOL Erin, that ovarian itch is a hard one as they become toddlers and beyond. I swear that AF returning doesn't help things either. Look where it got me! You have a goal time set though so that can help you stay committed to your TTC time frame. Still, I can't wait for you to have #2!!!

Good luck! I know I was obsessed for like 6 mos... and we had a plan too... for a summer 2012 baby, but I was totally like secretly wishing to get pregnant for a good 6 mos before that. Luckily, in the end, we stuck to our plan. Smile It's all working out as it's supposed to. Can make a girl crazy though!

Yeah-- I'm the wrong person to ask. Smile I always scratch that itch, too. Here comes baby #5.

Hang in there! It usually makes sense to wait. Enjoy your one on one time with Teagan.

OMG girl. I'm the one to ask I guess. Don't get me wrong: I love babies, and other people having babies. And have been hanging around here more again because my birth board is so slow these days and I'm an internet addict Smile BUT itching for more for myself? Noooooooooooo thank you! Not only going back to the constant needs of a totally dependent, non-sleeping infant but also having to juggle that with an only semi-sleeping, still diapered crazy juggernaut of a toddler? It's hard to think of anything I want to sign up for LESS.

...anytime you need a reality check to help you ward off that itch until your goal date, feel free to call me. Smile

(ETA: I don't mean to sound like a total curmudgeon. We just have lots of reasons to be very, very cautious about adding another family member, and we definitely will wait for a bigger spread if we do decide on a #2. I'm not even talking about thinking about it until we are sleeping through the night and out of diapers. And wouldn't have to pay for two at once in a good daycare...things in that arena are JUST BARELY working out as it is! No...babies are great, but I can wait!)

Leigh, you're too funny. I was kinda wondering why you were hanging out here though ;). I thought you guys were 100% one and done! The sleepless nights, endless diapers, and daycare costs are probably the only thing keeping me from calling up the birth center to get my IUD removed. I CANNOT go through the same morning sickness I had with Teagan if she's still sleeping in our bed and nursing all night long. Nuh uh. It would lead to instantaneous night weaning and that's not how I want it to go. We could swing daycare for 2 before Izzy graduates but we'd have to go back to split shifts and working Saturdays and Sundays. No fun. If we wait until next December though, Izzy will hopefully have a *real* job by the time baby came so we could afford to have family time. Plus, I need to be done with my comprehensive exam before getting pregnant. I can't risk the morning sickness while trying to go through my oral exams. There's no way I can sound reasonably intelligent while vomiting. It's not that I desperately want another newborn. I just want to get the newborn phase over with, have my 2 kids, and move on. I hope that doesn't sound crass but that's my plan and the newborn phase wasn't all magic and sunshine for me even though Teagan was a remarkably easy infant. This toddler business is another story ....

So, if I start to think about making that appt with the MW, just make vomiting noises at me. Smile

Noted! Biggrin

I'd say we're 90% one and done...but I still like talking about NCB and other people's babies! I still talk on the CD board even though we're done with that now too. Can't help myself.

I have twitching when ovulating. Most days it will happen on my right side and some days happens on my left. It doesnt hurt so much but its like someone poking at you with a pen or something. However it really hurts when i suddenly get up from my seat and i find it difficult to stand up straight...
