A quick hello

Hi ladies Smile
I've lurked here for a while and posted randomly a few times. I'm expecting baby #3. My first 2 were born at 33 wks 4 days and 36 wks 5 days. I'm 30 weeks now so expect to have a baby within the next 10 wks. I've had two natural hospital births. I'm planning another natural delivery in a hospital with this one. Thought I'd give a little intro and going to jump into conversation here a bit more. Biggrin

Hi Lynn! I can't believe how close you are already! Looking forward to seeing you around here more.

So which kiddo was @ 33 weeks and which was @ 36 weeks? Hopefully you get some more baking time with this LO!

Not as close as you! Wink I'm excited to hear about your baby boy's arrival. Biggrin

My DS1 was born at 33 wks 4 days following premature SROM at 33 wks 1 day. They put me on magnesium for 48 hrs to hold off labor while I was administered steroid shots for his lungs. I went into labor within about 15 hrs of stopping the mag and he was born roughly 9 hrs later. Thankfully he was able to breath on his own at birth but still had to maintain his own body heat and learn to eat. He spent 17 days in the NICU but was overall very healthy, just had to develop a bit.

DS2 was my almost 37 weeker and he needed no special care at birth. He was also quite big for not even 37 weeks at 7 lbs 4 oz. Which isn't uncommon I suppose but he was on track to be a 9 lb or bigger baby at 40 weeks.

I'm really hoping to get to 39 to 40 weeks with this one but only time will tell. Smile

Lynn since you typically pop before your due date, did you want us to start your birth lodge earlier? Let me know when you'd like one and I will start it for ya!

I remember you from your loss on the April board. Looking forward to following this birth! I'm guessing this one is a surprise?

I'm really thinking maybe I'll make it to 39 or 40 weeks this time. I'm planning on that at least Wink Not sure when the lodge is usually started, 36 or 37 wks?...but I'm thinking 36 weeks would be good. I'll hopefully at least have a week to tell my back story. Smile

Thanks! We didn't keep this one a surprise; I let DH make the decision on that since he let me have another baby when he was done at 2. It's the least I could do. Blum 3
It's a girl! Her oldest brother is very happy and excited to meet her...he has been begging for a baby sister since his little brother was born. Smile

Thanks Mel! Smile

Just saw this after I replied in the other thread...I do remember you were in the June board. I hope you are doing ok since your loss. It's such a heartbreaking thing. I think especially hard the first loss because for me, even knowing the possibility, I didn't really expect that could happen. I hope you don't ever have to experience it again.

I'm doing okay now. It was really rough for awhile. LIke you said you never think it will happen to you, especially after you've had a successful pregnancy. I also hope it does not happen again. I'm so glad you were able to have this baby stick! Smile
