I changed my ticker to a vbac ticker. I really hope I am not jinxing myself. I want this soooo much.
Aw, Christy! No, having a positive attitude is a GOOD thing! I apologize if I missed an update, but how are you doing? Did the bleeding stop?
The more committed to it you are, the more likely it is to happen! Think positive!
I believe this 100%
Agreed- the more positive you are, the better. BTW, did you see the neat VBAC story on the October board? http://www.pregnancy.org/bulletinboards/showthread.php?t=632497
She had her drug-free VBAC- in the car on the way to the hospital:)
Totally agree as well!
I agree with the other ladies. I even bought home birth related things, etc and practiced affirmations. For example, "I am going to have a beautiful VBAC", "My baby and body are working together as a team", etc.
I found that my focus shifted later in the pregnancy. At first I started out being deathly afraid of another c/s and wanting to avoid it at all costs. But as I got further along, I came to a more peaceful feeling about everything. I just wanted to be the one to make all the decisions and be fully informed and in control of my care.
I think it's great to have a reminder of your goal you are working toward and preparing for. I don't think you are jinxing yourself at all
When I was pregnant with my son I told everyone from the start that I was pushing that baby out of my vagina! I think my confidence definitely helped.
Absolutely not!! If you're gonna go after something, do it all the way with the kind of commitment that Hugh Heffner would never understand.
I agree with Ariel. When I 1st started my journey the actual vaginal birth was more important, now it's being informed and making my own decisions that has become my passion.
I hope you get what you're wanting!! Fingers crossed
I think its awesome!!
I don't even say. I am "trying" for a VBAC. I tell everyone I am having this baby at a birth center in the water naturally. I figure I will WILL my body to do it.
The midwives have also told me that my attitude is really going to help me. I am BOUND AND DETERMINED to make this happen just like I was breastfeeding even though my milk took 5 days to come in and I was dying of sleep deprevation and everyone told me to give formula. I have my mind set on it... therefore its happening!
