Default So what do you think? I am worried

During the training there was a lot lot lot of just sitting. Anyway my feet, ankles and lower legs swelled terribly. I mean they were huge with pitting. Now my hands and face feel puffy. I drank a ton of water during the training. I have been having little flashes of light in my vision. My bp seems to be creeping up again. Sigh! Soooo now I am worried. I do NOT want to end up with pre-e. The nurse at the docs office was like well you have bp issues anyway. Umm ok that is sooo helpful thank you. They did get me in today (after calling back and asking them to). I don't want to be that crazy pregnant lady but I have known a few people that this happened to and I guess with my birth I am sooo worried. Anyway, am I freaking out over nothing??

If it's possible I would wear support socks during the training & bring a small stool to put your feet up in. You can buy them at walmart for around $20 & are worth it I think. Drinking hibiscus flower tea helps lower blood pressure, might be worth trying It's also full of antioxidants which are good for you.

I second Chimmy's suggestions. It could be just the days of sitting putting extra stress on your body. Hope you get good news at the appt.
And FWIW, I had BP issues with DS, but not with DD. I took 400 mg Magnesium daily with DD (upon the suggestion of my DH who is a DO and swears Magnesium is a miracle mineral), walked regularly, and ate a very high protein diet. I did none of these things with DS. KUP!

I am doing the magnesium. I will try the hibiscus tea. Everything looked ok yesterday. They did some blood work just in case. Grrr on my bp creaping up again. LOL I need the stool for when I am at work. It doesn't seem to be as bad at work though. I think I get up and walk around more at work and my chair isn't as bad.

Can you set a timer on your phone to vibrate every hour, and then get up & just walk back & forth at the back of the room? As inconspicuously as possible, of course, but enough to keep your blood moving? If anyone says anything, just point to your belly and say, "I'm pregnant, and sitting too long isn't good for me." I dare them to say something else.

ITA with the other ladies. Also, how has your diet been? Getting enough protein and other important nutrients? Watch out for prepared foods as well. Often they have a TON of sodium and junk all the way around. I have noticed if I eat a lot of prepared foods, it doesn't matter how much water I get, I will swell (and that's even when I'm not preggo).

Ohh magnesium! Yes that is another good one - I'm currently taking a cal/mag liquid supplement that sorta tastes like orange lol It works well though, absorbs better than tablets & helps you sleep.

Hope things continue to look up for you.

I am on the GD diet so high protein low carbs. I was at that training so eating out all 3 meals. I am SURE that has something to do with it. Well that and sitting in a terribly uncomfortable chair for hours on end. LOL

I am doing a cal/mag combo too. At this point I will try anything.
