Stunning home birth photos

A friend from my birth center's mom and baby group recently welcomed her second edition in a rapid and peaceful home birth. Another birth center group mama documented the occasion and posted the pics to her blog. HAD to share (I hope they don't mind). Don't tattle on me, Leigh!

Secret if they minded, they would have put a password on it. TFS!

Beautiful!!! Love the birth banners... (And I can't believe how big Lorelai is...I haven't seen her since she was maybe eight months old!)

ETA: Wow, I can't stop looking at all the pictures on her blog now...those twins! Sweetest thing ever!

Those are awesome! TFS that with us. She looks so beautiful and peaceful in labor.

Is that a placenta print on the wall next to the Blue Moon poster? I was itching to do something artsy like that with mine.

I've now decided to force my baby blessing guests to make me a birth banner ... whenever that happens. Lorelai is such a cutie. I haven't seen them in forever either. I mostly stalk her on FB. I actually talk to one of her cycling team members way more frequently because he's in my fellowship program. Smile Oh, and don't you LOVE their house?

That's what I was thinking. If it is, then that's a really interesting and beautiful way to preserve the placenta. I was never interested in keeping the actual thing (either to eat it or bury it).

Wow- she didn't even look like she was really in labor in almost any of those pics! Amazing! And great photography. Smile

Yeah, their house is awesome. DH originally wanted to bury the placenta and plant a tree over it, but I wasn't super into it and when the moment came we just did nothing. I do like the print idea, though! And I am totally remembering that banner idea for planning showers/blessings Smile
