I know you guys aren't my birth board but I know you all might have some savvy tricks of the trade so am coming here. I'm only 12 weeks but my feet are already starting to swell while at work. I sit at a desk for roughly 5 hours. Tonight I brought a stool with me that allows me to elevate my feet & legs quite well, so that's a plus. With my last pregnancy this didn't happen until the end ~ although I admit I'm not entirely surprised, I've felt puffy & heavy with this pregnancy early on & it's kind of worried me. I am listening to my Hypnobabies positive affirmations CD every night to help with the worries, and I'm keeping my protein & water intake up, caffine & soda intake to almost nil. What else can I do? Am I missing something obvious? This just seems soooo early for this kind of thing :\ [p>
Hmmm I would have told you to exactly what you are doing. My legs swell at work too. The sitting at my desk is the problem. I usually only have minimal swelling at home during the weekends. I don't know. I hope someone else has some good advice for you.
Oh the joy is right. The only other idea I have is make sure you are getting adequate salt intake and salt your food to taste. Which is sooo helpful I know. LOL
So sorry about such early swelling. Sounds like you are doing all you can. I was thinking salt, make sure you are getting enough. If its really hot where you live right now maybe that is playing a factor too?

Funny you should say that - I already have one for my left leg b/c I was the fortune owner of a vericose vein in my calf during my last pregnancy & a blood clot (not a dvt) so I'm trying to be proactive with that & avoid another sore leg this pregnancy
