Ticked Me Off

So at my last OB appointment, I saw someone had posted a bumper sticker on a bulletin board in the office.

"Home Delivery is for Pizza."

Now, I had DS#1 in the hospital and will do the same with DS#2. But I think people are entitled to have home births if they want to. With a knowledgeable midwife and support staff, many women don't need any intervention. I just thought comparing birth and pizza was... ridiculous.

Next time you go in bring another bumper sticker that says "Delivery *is* for pizza. Home BIRTH is for healthy mums and babies."

That is really annoying. I'd have ripped it down. lol

Ugh, that is awful. Of course, I might have viewed it the same as if a Sprint employee had a sticker badmouthing tmobile- it's their competition:)

Yeah that would have ticked me off, although I bet there are people who get annoyed at my hb sticker as well, but it is on my car and not on a public board.

I would have put another bumper sticker up there..."Hospitals are for sick people. Pregnancy is not an illness"

Like any other business, they protect or defend their interests. It is understandable, to me.

My midwife's "slogan" if you will, is "there is no place like home"

I love the ones that say "Midwives help people out"

It all depends where ones bias lays, and as I admit to liking bias, personally I find nothing wrong with it Smile

ITA!

I saw that sticker just the other day and kindof giggled to myself about it. Pizza and babies are nowhere NEAR comparable, so that was just idiotic to me. Biggrin
