videos depicting the history of childbirth

http://www.theunnecesarean.com/blog/2010/8/1/mothers-advocate-tracks-down-historical-footage-for-video-se.html

I found these really interesting because I love birth art and birth history. I did find some of the footage in part 4 slightly disturbing, but still important to see to know where we've come from.

Very interesting! Have you read "Get Me Out" by Randi Epstein? Very interesting look at the history of childbirth.

I haven't read that one. I have read Tina Cassidy's Birth: The Surprising History of How We are Born and I really liked it.

I love unnecesarean's blog and information! I, too, have read Birth and enjoyed it, as well as took an advanced course at our local university awhile back that was entitled Birth of a Nation: A Historical look at birth practices in the U.S. it was very insightful and bothersome at the same time.
