Question weird pp question - TMI warning!

it's not birth related, but I'm hoping someone here has some experience with this...
After DTD, I am now having some blood-tinged mucus. I've never had this before.

so if that's not enough info, I'll give a little more:
after the other 3 kids, I easily slipped into lactational ammenorhea for about 9-10 months. This time, I've been having a lot of ambiguous weird symptoms since around 2 months pp. a little bit of cramping, fertile cm with non-fertile cervix, and soft high open cervix on and off with no pattern. also, usually I'm chronically dry while nursing, but this time, even when I didn't have fertile cm, I've still had some level of mucus.

so now this and I'm a bit nervous... anyone have any experience with this? should I be worried that I could be pg? or that I'm slipping into an infertility pattern???

    TIA!!

Ayelet-- I've had totally different experiences while nursing. Random fertile CM, cramping, etc. Spotting without a period and varying degrees of CM.

I think it is "normal" and different after each kidlet. AF also returned at different stages with each kid, even when my nursing activity was pretty much the same (DD1 8 months PP, DD2 5 months PP, DS1 7 months PP, DD3....I don't remember-- gah!) But I remember being CERTAIN that I was pg about 3 months PP after my DS.

I was especially *ahem* dry after my first DD....so much so that dh and I always need lube to DTD-- but I didn't have that experience after the others.

Long story short? I think it is all normal. But if you are worried, I'd take a quick test just to put your mind at ease. GL!

I never trusted lactation-induced amenorrhea so I went on the minipill after each of my babies. With Tiven I tended to be quite dry most of the time, not enough to need to lube but enough that I needed a good bit of foreplay first. A few times I thought I had fertile-type mucus, but every time it was after we'd DTD the night before so I think it was more stuff getting jiggled loose & mixed with semen than truly fertile CM. With Weston I wasn't nearly as dry, but we didn't DTD nearly as often, and I noticed that I'd usually have some spotting the next day after the times we did. Again, to me, it just seemed like things were getting jiggled loose than anything else.

    Having you tried temping?

It's always possible to get your cycles back shortly after giving birth. I got my period back - on a regular, month-to-month basis - at 6 - 7 weeks PP, even with nursing on demand around the clock with every one of my babies

I would take a hpt just to be sure.

Thanks girls. It stopped yesterday, so I thought it was something like what Stacey was saying, but now today I've got some more streaking... not a flow at all, so I'm just gonna see what happens.
