I am so anxious to hear about your appt on Wednesday! I'm also very happy to hear you and DH were able to talk things through, it gets so tough at the end of pregnancy, add in a couple of kids and stress over an unknown delivery and I just can't even imagine. I've been totally letting my DH step up to the plate as far as housework goes, I'm basically just here all day supervising and not doing much else and I know it's starting to wear my DH out.
How is DS feeling?
Thanks ladies! Yeah, I will talk to my midwife about the sweep and see what she thinks based on my situation. If I didn't have all these other factors, I would just let things happen as they will...but because of the concerns...I am really thinking about it.
I try to keep up with the housework on a daily basis, but its tough to get motivated since I feel tired and this heat is awful. I have nested in the baby's room and gotten that all ready, and I got my bedroom to a good and organized place, which is important since bassinet will be in there for a while...and the rest of the house I try to keep up with...but the main living area gets untidy on a daily basis, so I am constantly having to clean up...especially after the kids.
DH is tired by the end of the day, so he tries to help but he just wants to come home and relax. He does a lot more on his day off and on the weekend when he is home also. He has been a real trooper. I am trying to get the kids to clean up their own messes more often as it is their stuff and I shouldn't have to constantly clean up their messes. Its one thing to do the kitchen stuff...obviously that's my job...but they can certainly clean up their toys and rooms and things like that.
DS is feeling much better today. He has still been a little off but not running to the bathroom every few minutes. I actually had another episode today...threw up again. I don't know what is going on. I don't think I am sick, I think its just taking my vitamins on either an empty stomach or too empty...today I ate this morning before taking them...but didn't eat much, so that was my fault. But ugh...it was not fun.
I am anxious about my appointment also. Can't wait to see what happens. I really hope baby is head down and its simple and easy, but I am preparing for breech just to be ready. The hard thing has been trying to arrange sitters for the kids in case I have to do the external version...if its just a regular appt. and baby is head down, then I can drop them at my sisters and be back within an hour to get them..but if baby is breech...I will be out for several hours as I have to check in to labor and delivery 1 1/2 hours before, then do the version, then stay for a few more hours so they can monitor baby...that is if all goes well. So I am hoping for the first scenario...drop my kids off, go to appt....baby is head down, then I can go home.
Forgot to mention something cute DH did the other day...he got a new picture frame that is four 8'10s together in a collage...he put DS's dance picture we ordered in one frame, DD1's dance picture in another frame, then DD2 in one frame, then he grabbed the 36 week appointment 3D picture of baby and put it in the other frame...then he put it up on the wall. It looks great! So we have a pic of each child in the collage, even the baby. It was sweet! He did it on his own with no prompt from me. Once baby is born we can replace the 3D pic, but until then...this works perfectly.
Speaking of the 3D pic, I think I will post it in here. It is so awesome! I have never had an ultrasound this far along...only ever had my 18-20 week ultrasound that is routine...but this one showed all the details and you could totally see what baby is going to look like as he/she is fully developed by then. We can even see the hair. Its so cute!
That picture is so cool! I love that DH did that frame with no prompting, that is so sweet!!!
I hear ya about the kids picking up their own stuff. Mine are plenty old enough to be picking up stuff I just haven't really forced the issue. DH has been great about having a pick up time in the evening before bed so they are getting in the habit of doing it themselves which is great.
Last night DS came upstairs after being in bed and asked if it was bad that there was a little blood in his pee. We immediately got concerned and gave him some more gatorade. We think he possibly got dehydrated when we were at the pool on Friday...that and a combination of food poisoning. We are monitoring him and asked him to let us know the next time he goes to the bathroom so we can check it. He slept in our room last night cause I wanted him close and he just woke up this morning and said he is feeling somewhat better. He still seems pale to me and although he isn't in the bathroom every ten minutes, I don't think he is 100% back to himself...so I am going to have him resting a lot today and drinking lots of fluid.
Another thing of note...last night when DH and I were watching a show I had two contractions in a 30 minute period and both of them had some pain to them. This is the first time I had the crampy feeling...then throughout the night I slept pretty well, but whenever I woke up and had a contraction it had the same feeling. And so far this morning I have probably had between 5-10 in the last hour and all of them hurt a little. Not enough to really hurt me or make me breathe through them, but enough to notice they are definitely different and make me more aware.
I am not going to read too much into it though...but it may be helping get the baby down and may be good prep for an August 16th birthday. We will see.
Oooh! cramping starting! That's exciting! I hope it lasts less long and is less frustrating than over here!

How sweet of DH with the picture frame! I hope DS is back to himself soon. Dehydration has a slow comeback as it is, let alone adding possible food poisoning to it. What a trooper he's being!
I hope your appointment is quick and easy, it's stressful finding a sitter and then having to deal with a version, l&d and all that. FX. I'm SO excited you're having some crampy contractions! You may just be right about that 8/16 birth date.
I just got back from a ladies function from my church. We did a progressive dinner type thing where we had 4 different courses at 4 different houses in the neighborhood. First house was appetizers, then salad, then dinner, and the last house was dessert. Most the ladies walked but some drove. I wanted to walk the whole thing cause I thought it would be good for me and although I had several offers for rides to each house, I walked the whole thing. I had lots of contractions and it was tough, especially in the heat but it was nice and I am glad I did it.
Tomorrow morning is my appointment. I am getting nervous and praying baby is head down. I got two calls today from the hospital giving me instructions and doing registration with me over the phone. On the second call, the lady is like..."okay we have it in the paperwork here that if the version isn't successful that we have you scheduled to do a c section"...I said "Ugh...I did not agree to that. I still have another week until my due date and until I am in labor and I know for sure baby will not flip, I am not agreeing to that." She was like..."Oh that's fine. I would do that too. We just have it in the paperwork but we don't have to do it that way."
I thought that was strange that they automatically assumed that is what I wanted to do. Anyway, I am hoping to get a good night sleep tonight. I need to wake up early enough to get the rest of my hospital bag together just in case. I have it mostly packed but the few last minute things I couldn't put in until I absolutely needed to will need to be packed tomorrow.
We have to drop off the kids at 9am sharp and then head to my morning appointment.
Prayers that baby is still head down and I can avoid all the other hospital stuff tomorrow would be much appreciated. I will update as soon as I can.
