Exciting that you are so close! I hope that your baby waits until next week for you. Those exercise balls are total lifesavers. I have a birthing ball that I got from my birthing class 10 years ago, and I'm using it again this time around - SO much better than a chair!
Ha! I was having trouble sitting last night too! I had to put a pillow under my bum at the table to elevate just my bum, so that there would be room for my belly to sit above my (now lower) thighs. I hit my plate with my belly twice and nearly spilled it, sent cutlery flying, etc. A bit ridiculous really!
I hope that baby stays for you til things settle down, and you're all set to go!

I hear ya on the sore by the end of the day-- I suppose chasing after 4 other kidlets will do that to ya! I swear that I've been more active with each pregnancy (as I'm sure you have, too!)
Love birth balls-- they do help so much. I keep spilling things on my big ol' belly. Embarrassing. Yesterday it was salad dressing at a work lunch. *sigh*
DD 8.03, DD 6.05, DS 3.07, DD 5.09, and DS arrived 6.17.12
And I'm sure I over did it yesterday. I felt like crap by evening and I've really been feeling good otherwise. I changed sheets, vacuumed, went grocery shopping, did a ton of laundry... Nothing too wild or crazy, just a busy day. And I don't think today will be much slower. I brought DS1 to school, then picked up 4 gallons of paint plus rollers and supplies (we are renovating our garage/mud room and want to have it done before baby comes), picked up some blinds for DS2 bedroom and headed home. Diapers are in the wash and my "to do" list for the day is laundry, muffins, dusting, and if the rain holds off getting into the garden to do some weeding.
But, first I'm going to finish my Tim Hortons iced capp
You have a huge to-do list, I hope you can get it all done before baby arrives and don't over do it
Last summer we moved from a 3 bdrm house in town to a 5 bdrm house on 25 acres. The property is beautiful and there is tons of potential... The house and the property needed a lot of TLC, which is the only reason we could afford it. We've replaced all the floors, painted the whole thing, installed new garage doors, new blinds, new exterior doors, changed hardware on cupboards/doors inside, and now redid the mud room and are finishing the garage. Outside DH has spent countless hours cutting down blackberries, broom, clearing fields, replacing fence posts and electric fence wire, knocking down decrepit out buildings. Plus now we've got a garden to keep up, 4 cows (with plans for 3 more this summer and a batch of meat chickens to raise and sell). Oh and he spends his Saturdays splitting firewood as a little side business to fund some of these other projects...
It is a ridiculous amount of work, but we are doing it bit by bit with cash and sweat equity... I feel bad that I can't really do all that much right now. My DH is living his dream - even if it means working from 7:30-5pm, coming home, eating, and then working on the property until dark. He has always wanted a farm and now we are almost there

Got a parcel in the mail! My new mei tei
I am so excited to use it on this new baby (I've only used a pouch in the past). I tried it out last night with DD2 (24months and 26lbs) and I have to say it was shockingly comfortable tied over my belly. I couldn't have worn her for hours or anything, but it would be fine for a short trip even 37 weeks preggers.
Wow, you are keeping busy! I agree that it is probably best to stay busy and active. I prefer to keep myself puttering around and distracted than sitting around feeling huge and worrying about labor But do be careful not to overdo. I spent the day gardening and deep cleaning the house the other day and regretted it. I was horribly sore the next day and so exhausted. All I wanted to do was sleep but life continues...had to chase around DS and continue moving forward with Preparation: Baby. So much to do to get ready! Or, like your painting project, more like there are a lot of things I want done before the baby comes so that I won't have to worry about it when I am in Newbornland.
Sounds very similar to my DH....although I know he wishes that we had 25 acres instead of just 5. Sounds like you are super busy, but pretty darn close to being totally ready for baby to be here. Make sure to take a little bit of time to rest, hard I know with kiddles running around, but necessary. My DH is living his dream - even if it means working from 7:30-5pm, coming home, eating, and then working on the property until dark. He has always wanted a farm and now we are almost there

37 weeks and 3 days
I had an appt with my mw this morning. All is well. I did the GBS swab and declined a check/sweep... We'll discuss it next week and agreed there is no sense rushing things. We've both seen the "encouraged" labors that end up being so long and difficult and agree to let things be for now. The mw doesn't think this baby feels as big as my last - which is good hear! My blood pressure was fine, FHR 130's (boy??), urine clear, head is nice and low in my pelvis, and overall I feel good. I just had the one day where I felt so sore, but have been fine since then. Baby must have been in a weird position or something, I guess.
Oh and funny thing... It seems DH is "man nesting" lol... I mentioned that we are renovating the garage/mud room. It was added on the the end of the house, so our en suite bathroom window goes into the garage. The other night he decided to remove the window. So, there we were at 9pm (kids in bed) removing the window and covering the gapping hole with drywall. Last night he mudded it all in preparation of getting painted tomorrow. It is nice to see the house getting finished... But really...
I waffled back and forth between this baby will be early and thinking I'll get to my due date like I did with the first 3. Only time will tell!
