it's so strange to me that you risk out at 41 weeks instead of 42. Why does insurance think it's so much riskier??

Anyway, glad you are hanging in there and finishing up the week of work. You'll be glad later that you did that! How long are you home on maternity leave this time?

Obviously I could not begin to agree with you more!!!!!!!!!! The midwives agree too, and have fought it at every chance they get, but for whatever reason, the overseeing company just doesn't want to hear it. Sigh. But at least we HAVE a great birth center, even if it isn't perfect.

I only get my 12 weeks FMLA unpaid time off, so if I make it through this week that means I go back January 10th. I really, really hate the idea of leaving a baby before she's even 3 months old, but we don't have a choice, and if I have to do it at least I'm leaving her somewhere familiar that I am very comfortable with, and who knows our family, and where her sister can (and is so excited to!) check in on her from time to time

So, I had contractions throughout the night last night--stronger than my normal BH but not so strong they kept me up. Just hope they did some work for me! Nothing this morning until just a few minutes ago...had a couple good ones on the way here and am feeling crampy now. I'm already just planning to take a half day and go nap and rest this afternoon. Baby got into a really bad posterior position yesterday evening and my pelvis was KILLING me to the point I could hardly walk (felt like a pinched nerve on the left). Was able to get her to shift with some polar bear position and light jiggling, though, and it feels fine this morning. Hope she stays out of whatever spot that was...yikes.

I hope she stays away from that nerve for you! I hope the cramps are just the beginning and you're hold that sweet baby soon.

OW. NO. SHE'S DOING IT AGAIN.

I can get her to rotate with inversions and stuff, but she keeps finding her way back! Anything I can do to keep her more OA????

I don't know. Are you sure it's her position and not how low she is? I feel like mine hits the nerves the worst when he's very low in the evenings.

Well, the groin nerves yes. But this back pain...it's a very sharp and not at all intermittent pain in my pelvis, left of my tailbone, that makes me barely able to walk--I can waddle, going "OW. OW. OW." It bothered me this weekend, chiro fixed it on Monday, and then it came back last night. Got her to shift position and just now it started again. ARGH.

I had it early on with DD (like 28-32 weeks) but regular chiro care seemed to keep it at bay. Don't remember it coming back at the end like this...maybe I'm just forgetting! Really hope it lets up again. Do not need it on top of labor pains!

It's not gone but better again now. I'm feeling feet or something in a new spot...not quite sure what she's doing in there, but as long as it's not causing me pain, I guess I'll take it!

I'm still calling Friday! Better get some good sleep tonight. No idea about the back pain. I'd continue positioning and maybe whip out a rice sock or some limited heat pad time.

Yeah except the pool is like 50 degrees now! No thanks, lol!

Have been having contrax like on Sunday since around 1:00, when they woke me from a nap. (It's a little after 5:00 now) They are regular sometimes and then get erratic so I don't know if we are going anywhere with this yet or not...but at least they haven't actually stopped. Would be super happy if this was it...looking forward to DH getting home soon...
