Yay for a new co-sleeper! I have the mini too, they are wonderful! I think it is really smart to get your holiday cards done now. I have yet to send out a holiday card so I'm just going to send out baby announcements LOL.

Yeah I love the arms reach co-sleeper. Despite having a lot of troubles in the beginning of BFing with DD (her inability to suck/swallow/breathe at first) I am so pumped to BF again and the co-sleeper always made that so easy without me being paranoid about bed sharing.

Thankfully my NSTs are usually later mornings or afternoons when he's active. They purposely tell me to eat before hand to give him an excuse to move around. I remember them getting easier with DD as she got bigger so I'm hoping that will be the case here too.

We weren't going to do cards until he was born to do an announcement/card combo but I just decided to go ahead and we'll do an announcement later. It's nice having the option of doing it either way though.

I'm sorry he's worrying you by being sleepy. Hey, sleepy babies aren't so bad Great deal on the co-sleeper! We used the mini as well and I loved it! I just saw one today at a consignment shop in a blue fabric with stars and I had to really fight myself not to buy it for Sprog.

I agree sleeping babies are great, though this little guy likes to be up all night so I'm anticipating poor sleep for a long time like with Em. I have never seen an Arms reach that was patterned! That must have taken a good amount of will power to resist.

I had a really nice NST appointment this morning with my favorite MW. Little guy was beautifully cooperative for the NST and we talked a bit about the whole amnio/induction and SPD. She said he probably preformed so much better because he's older and that makes it easier to monitor. I knew that but it's nice having their praise.

For the amnio she asked if the OB i usually see (who was behind the diagnosis both times and delievered DD) had given me a date for the amnio and I said no. She said she wasn't sure if they (the hospital) would want to do an induction starting on a Friday night (assuming I need a cervix ripener) as she said the amnio results wouldn't be back for a day. I remember with DD they always said they would have the amnio back the same day and deliver the next night (at 37). She said we'll have to see what the OB thinks.

I am hoping that if he doesn't think the hospital will like the idea of doing an induction on a Friday night (which boils my blood with stupid scheduling BS) he will tell them it's too bad if my amnio comes back good because it's crucial to deliver baby as soon as you know the lungs are developed. I'm not too worried with how much my body likes to go into labor and the fact that the amnio could push me over the edge. I mentioned my desire to not use miso for cervix ripening. My MW noted it in my file and said it shouldn't be an issue to use a foley or cervadil if I even need something for my cervix. She did say that the amount of miso they use is as minimal as possible (25 micrograms) and they won't use it if the baby is compromised at all (IUGR, low fluid etc) so that was nice but it doesn't change my mind. I'm glad that she was responsive to that.

She said she had SPD with her second too and just recommended as much rest as I could and a support belt if I want to try it but that it won't give total relief.

As for him being posterior 90% of the time, she said not to worry much because even if he didn't rotate into a better position, with him being delivered early it's easier for him to move/convince him to get in a better position. She said some patients have said doing lunges helped baby get in proper position and engage.

I'll share some pictures later of the blanket I'm working on for DS. It's simple as I've just started crocheting in the last couple of months but it's super soft and should be pretty warm.

I hate that the Friday night thing is even a factor, but this isn't a normal induction situation so hopefully they will just go along with it at the time without giving you any grief.

I hope that's how they'll see things Andy. I'm pretty sure he'd let me do an amnio at 36 and 6 if he really thought it was an issue as that's what we were going to do with Emma.

Went to bed last night feeling awful. No "real" contractions but lots of crampy BH and pressure and just felt nauseous after dinner. Figured it was the food but everything was fine with that, I just couldn't bring myself to eat much. Couldn't fall back asleep when DH got up for work (3:45 am) so I tried just meditating. Started timing contractions just incase. Still just BH and inconsistent times/lengths but lots of pressure with them and nauseous still. He's moved a little since I got up but not much. SHower did nothing. Hoping eating and drinking more water will calm things down.

The other day I was going through little guy's clothes and couldn't help but compare a premie to a newborn size. It kills me to think DD was swimming in premie when we brought her home (she got down to almost 1 lb loss during our hospital stay).
