May not have to worry about him coming before the amnio anyway. Started having more real contractions last night and while it doesn't look like it in pictures, he definatly dropped. Got an hour of sleep last night and almost went into l&d but the on call MW suggested just staying home as I'm not having the 5 minutes apart for an hour or more type contractions. Some were only 3 minutes apart, but then the next half hour they'd space. Just staying super hydrated and crossing my fingers baby will stay in until at least tomorrow night so DH won't have to miss work or risk killing someone making a 3 hour drive home.
DD got her first real injury last night. It's just a couple cuts on her toes from smashing them into a board book but she's so upset any time they touch something. I am going to have to go to the store today to get some things I'm just hoping my body will cooperate. NST tomorrow. Little guy's been pretty active which is nice minus the pressure/pain.

Happy 36 weeks!! Stay put until tomorrow little man, you hear? Do you think Emma's toe actually hurts or is she just being a weird toddler? Bandaids can fix most imaginary booboos
Your belly is so stinking cute! Try to rest, first and foremost. Hopefully you'll need it soon!
She did have some good cuts on her toes. I even pulled out some Hello Kitty kids bandaids and Shark ones to choose from but she's afraid of me putting it on. I don't think it hurts much anymore, but she just asks me to "kiss the red boo boos all better" a million times an hour.![]()
Trying to take it easy while Em naps. It's hard not to nest but really everything that needs to be done is done. I am hoping he'll wait until next week. He just better behave at his NST tomorrow.![]()
Behave tomorrow little man, and wait just a little bit longer, OK? Don't come out 'til you're good and ready!![]()

Thanks ladies.
Just got back from my NST. DD did great with the babysitter which I knew she would as she loves new people to play with. Little man did fine for the NST. MW noticed I was contracting a lot so I let her check me. My cervix is still pretty posterior (and to the left ouch!), still 50% effaced but I'm a good 2 cm. She didn't seem to think we'd make it to the amnio next friday and said to have a good weekend if we aren't in l&d. I am not thinking much of it because 80% of my contractions during the day are pretty harmless though they have been more crampy today. The painful ones on the NST were good practice for my focused breathing so that helps.
ETA: Maybe the midwife wasn't wrong? I started timing my contractions after we got home a couple hours ago just to see and while they're about the same pain wise, they've been coming every 7-8 minutes for the last couple hours.![]()
Wow, every 7-8 minutes sounds very promising!!!
It's kinda freaking me out lol. I have been able to space them a little if I'm sitting but that's kinda hard with getting the little one some dinner (not that she wants to eat what i made her). I'm hoping that if things are happening, everything will stay mellow for a while as DH is maybe getting back to work from the job site soon and it's an easy 1.5 hour drive without traffic. I told him he can't tell his parents (or anyone but work so he can leave asap) until I know we're going to the hospital as I can't stand the idea of getting 500 phone calls or freaking out my mum who's out of state and would want to book a flight home asap.
