As for the name spelling, I like Forrest better simply because Reed has a double letter in it so the OCD side of me likes Forrest with double r's to match.

Thanks! I think For(r)est is getting fat cheeks already... If he keeps gaining as he has been he should be at about 8.5 pounds by his appointment Friday! He doesn't seem to be slowing down any in terms of feedings. He has, however, been spitting up a ton of milk lately - but is that just because he's stuffing himself too full, or he's swallowing too much air? Haven't figured it out yet.
It could be that his eyes are bigger than his stomach. If he's already getting chubber cheeks and he doesn't seem bothered then I'd pass it off as a mere inconvenience. How do you nurse him most of the time? Sitting/lying/BWing? Nursing with baby upright is supposed to help with swallowing air. I found it hard to nurse with T on my chest in a semi-reclined position until she had better head control but nursing in the ringsling can replicate that position and can be accomplished while chasing toddlers.
LOL - I'm not worried about him! I think the issue is that I have a fast let down and it leaves him gulping - air and all. Then I fall asleep at night and he doesn't burp, or he does and burps up milk too. If he's siting up afterwards, then he just burps (most of the time). I try to do laid-back BFing when I can, but with 2 toddlers around that's nearly impossible.Quote:

4wk appt today and Forrest is up to 9lb1oz! That's 18.5 oz in 9 days - a smidge more than 2oz/day! Leo had gained 1oz at this point! Now if he didn't spit 1/2 of what he ate, where would he be? :shock:
He's also grown 4.5 cm length and 1.25cm head circumference.
Guess he's doing well!
