Just met a 3mo old - she's smaller than Forrest by a long shot! We'll find out tomorrow at his appointment how much he weighs now!

Incidentally, I want to say that DH is surprising me by how good he's been doing rehab with his knee. I was on him all the time for icing to begin with, but he's continuing to ice it at work, bringing ice from home, without me asking. He's also been doing physio (even though he forgot on Monday), and riding the exercise bike I got him (on kijiji). His range of motion has got much better and he's mostly walking normally again! I don't think it's perfect yet, but I'm very happy that he's taking this seriously. He;s usually good at doing things for a little while and then loses interest. Part of it, I think, is that he's put the bicycle in front of the screen and watches movies while biking!

I agree we need a picture of the hair!!

DD1's dad and I do every other week during the summer....IT'S MISERABLE!! The parenting consistency is horrible, we have completely opposite parenting styles and it makes everything miserable with her. Good luck with Skylar!

OK, if she won't post it, I will...
Her DH got 60% off the haircut. Then he babysat while she got the haircut. It was in a different part of town...turned out to be a tattoo parlour too. She said it was fun to people watch.

LOL - I haven't been on my computer much!

Forrest was at 10lb6oz on Thursday. He's 58m (9cm taller than at birth), and head at 38cm (bigger than Reed, Ivy or Leo at this age)! He's started smiling a lot (not yet in response), and has one or two alert periods of a couple hours every day. He's also started "talking" a little with some coos and squeaks... Fun! We've taken him in the hot tub a couple times and unlike the other 3, he Screams when you put him under water. They used to look confused, but be happy enough. (We teach them to hold their breath under water by blowing on their face so they hold their breath and then putting them under briefly. It's what's recommended for babies). We'll have to do more in the shower.

I had a hockey game last night and am a little sore today...

We also moved the kid's room around a bit and I really like it. Hope to get some photos soon.

Aaaw, what a love! He's changed way too fast since I've been there! Love the eyes, the chin, the dark hair.... In some ways he resembles his brother and sister, yet he is distinct! Your photos show how alert he is. We need a siggy photo in a dandelion/grass patch!

Will all hockey games be on Sunday nights? (I thought that's what the haircut was about!)

We do 1 wk, 1wk throughout the school year, and 2wk/2wk over the summer. It's definitely way better over the summer for consistency and happiness.

He's such a big boy, I'm glad he's growing so well for you. Chubby cheeks are a necessity and he knows it

A mom in Leo's parent-tot class was commenting on how amber is a natural pain killer. I'd heard of teething necklaces before made of amber, but her husband had been wearing a bracelet made of amber for his finger since his finger surgery. He'd forgotten to put the bracelet back on after taking a shower and had really noticed the difference. So I suggested to DH that he try it for his knees. I ordered one (and one for each of the kids). I just received them and am keen to see if they help anything.

I also found out the healing qualities of hazel wood (as in hazel nuts). It's supposed to help with all sorts of things like constipation, acid reflux, eczema, etc... Since I get some mild eczema and have had some constipation issues, I thought I'd give it a try.
